My Dancing Partner ~ Jungkook

"Hey" Yena greeted me once the teacher left. "Hi" I saw Taehyung and Jimin coming too. "You didn't answer our messages yesterday" I frowned remembering it. I did want to tell him about everything in the morning but I was late. Dad has to drop both me and Jihoon on the way so by the time I reached class it was time for first lesson.

"I was with Jungkook" I apologized and explained to them that we are dating now. I was about to tell them the reason why I didn't tell them till now but Jimin interrupted me. "So you ditched us for him"

"It's not like that" he scoffed. "Yeah right" I glared at Jimin. "He is going out of town for a week and asked me to spend time with him. I should have informed you all but something happened and I forgot to tell you about it" I tried to explain to Jimin. "You have been ignoring us this whole week" Jimin accused which made me baffled. "That's not true. We spend our lunch break together"

"Aren't you hanging out with him every evening though?" I am genuinely confused. "We are partners for dance competition. We have to practice" I don't understand why Jimin is being so bothered about it. It is not like first one of us skipped it and I am not completely ignoring them either. I agree it was my fault for not informing them but isn't he over reacting a little "Whatever" he got up and left the room. "Did I do something wrong?" I asked them once he left.

"I think he is cranky today" Yena said shrugging her shoulders. "Leave him. He will be fine in few minutes" Taehyung told me and I really hoped he will. "I really hope so" soon classes passed in blur and we were at the lunch table. I was hoping to talk to Jimin and sort whatever argument we had but he wasn't there.

"Where is Jimin?" I asked Yena. "He is with coach to finalize the team. Taehyung is about to leave too. They are starting practice matches from today" Taehyung got up as Yena said this. "I should probably go" he smiled before leaving. "I also need to leave early as Yoongi didn't come today. We are starting with rehearsals" I decided explain to them everything later as they aren't in the mood to listen.

"What about you?" I looked at Yena. "Jungkook didn't come too. So I guess I will just practice for a while" she nodded her head and we quickly finished our food. "I have to go babe. Don't worry much about Jimin. He will be fine by tomorrow" she gave me hug before leaving.

I sighed once she left. Jimin and I never fought before. He was very patient type and whenever I get angry he would be comfort me. This is the first time he snapped at me. I thought I would my friends to distract me from my thoughts but it won't work now. I packed my things and went to library. I need to return few books which I have taken last week and I totally forgot.

I was walking to the chemistry aisle to put the books when I heard my name. "Y/n" I turned around and smiled at Namjoon. "Hi" he was reading a book sitting near the window. "It's been a while I have seen you" I sat opposite to him. "Yeah" librarian wasn't here and we were almost at the end of corridor so I can talk to him. "How is your practice going?"

"Good. Jungkook and I are working on new choreography. Cade is also joining us in team" he grinned at my words. "What about you?" I asked him as I looked at the book he is reading. "I am part of math club" there is no doubt he would win. I haven't seen anyone smarter than Namjoon in my whole life. "Good luck. You don't need it though" he chuckled making a small form on my lips. "Are you good with chemistry now" he said eyeing book in my hand.

"That could never happen" I laughed at my own words. "I can always help you of you want" I nodded my head and checked the time. "I got to go. I am late for my class" he bid me goodbye saying we should hangout again.

I walked to dance class and began stretching. "Hi" I saw Cade approach me with a smile. "Hi Cade" I placed my bag on the table where pile of bags were placed. "I am sorry about studio work. I couldn't inform earlier about quitting" I felt bad that I quit so shortly. He recommended me to his parents and got me in without recruiting process but I quit three weeks later. It doesn't look good at all.

"That is fine. I did tell you it is temporary opening" he smiled brightly. "I am really sorry though. I should have worked more diligently" he hit my forehead making me yelp. "Enough of it. I already told mom that you got busy with dance competition and she is looking forward to our dance by the way"

I decided to get ready for practice and started to stretch. "Cade Y/n" I looked at Cassie surprised. "Ms. Kim told me to inform you both that we can prepare for the competition and no need to follow the class" I merely nodded as she disappeared.

"She doesn't sound herself today" Cade commented. I looked at her back quizzically as if to what is wrong with her. "Anyway I will go and practice. You can call me if you need any help" I nod and ask him whether he want to practice together. We already discussed on few parts last time so we can come up with complete routine today. I can explain the steps to Jungkook later. It won't be hard for him to catch up since he is a good dancer.

Cade and I went through ordeal once again. We made plan of whole routine before starting it. I did my best to concentrate and practice the routine. Cade was really patient and helping while giving me feedback. He even suggested few moves which were better than mine.

All the while I couldn't forget the fact Jungkook didn't sent a single message to me. He did say he will be leaving in the early morning and won't call me not to disturb my sleep. Though it's been only one day he went no matter what I do he was on my mind constantly.

"Y/n careful" I was too deep in my thoughts to realize I messed up the dance step and landed on floor with thud. Through the pain I know I injured my leg.
