Lumine: It's time for a picnic everyone!
The Liyue girls seemed to have warmed up to Sara and Barbara pretty quickly.
Kaeya tentatively hovered at the edges before encountering Diluc.
Kaeya: Oh, what a surprise!
He laughed awkwardly as his eyes flicked back and forth at the picnic. The two men were hovering tentatively around the edges.
Kaeya: *sighs* Why are we like this?
Diluc: ...I prefer to keep my distance.
Kaeya: That's not an acceptable answer according to Lumine.
Diluc: What-
Lumine: Boys! Get over here!
Kaeya strolled over without hesitation.
Lumine: Diluc, that includes you too! Don't make me take extreme measures.
Diluc: Uhm... Alright...
Ningguang: Ah, Master Diluc, how is business going? How about a game of chess?
Kaeya felt that strange sense of relief again as he watched Diluc engage in the conversation, followed by a familiar sadness.
Barbara: Mr Kaeya, are you okay?
Kaeya: *breaks out of his haze* Of course. Why wouldn't I be?
Barbara: *Hesitates* As a healer, I couldn't help but notice a great sadness in your heart
Kaeya: *surprised* Is that so...?
Barbara: *abashed* Oh please excuse me, I don't mean to sound so intrusive...
Kaeya: No problem. If anything, I think you need to speak your mind more.
Barbara: *relieved* I uh... heard that you liked Calla Lilies... *passes a calla lily flower crown* so I thought this will make you feel a little better...
Kaeya: *even more surprised* That's
... thoughtful of you. Thank you, Miss Barbara...
Lumine plopped it on Kaeya's head.
Lumine: It suits you. Maybe keep it like that for a while.
Kaeya: *awkward laugh* I probably look ridiculous! You're so odd, Miss Lumine.
Diluc turned to look but quickly turned away to hold back his laughter.
Keqing: Are you alright, sir?
Diluc: Pfft... Yes... Excuse me for a minute *stands up to leave*
Kaeya: *completely forgotten about his flower crown* What's gotten into him?
