Lumine: We're going to Sumeru y'all!
Kaeya abruptly sat up from the couch, surprised to hear the news.
Kaeya: Did you hear that Diluc? We're going on an adventure!!
Diluc: Sumeru? Nothing to get too excited about. A lot of traversing-
He trailed off at the sight of the immense eagerness and excitement sparkling in Kaeya's eye.
Diluc: Pfft- *Pats his bro on the head* Better get ready then.
Lumine: Come quick! We're about to meet with a very special guest!
Kuki Shinobu, Yelan and Amber were thrilled to meet Collei with Kaeya looking nervous in the background and Diluc observing. The Lumine takes her and introduces her to Diluc and Kaeya.
Kaeya: Yo little friend ~ It's been a while, I trust that you've been faring well?
Diluc's eyebrows furrowed. That's the exact act he puts up when he talks to people he usually got on the wrong foot with or the other way around.
Collei: *awkward* Oh... hi... Captain... Ka...
Diluc squeezed the life out of Kaeya's arm.
Diluc: (What did you do?)
Kaeya: (I swear it was nothing major, let go)
Collei suddenly shook her head and clenched her fists.
Collei: *salutes* Trainer Forest Ranger Collei reporting for duty!
Both brothers' eyes widened slightly; Diluc's arm slowly released his mega stronk grip. He extended an arm with a warm smile.
Diluc: Nice to meet you Collei, I'm Diluc. *Lowers voice just a little bit* Please let me know if Kaeya tries anything stupid.
Kaeya: Hey now, couldn't you have at least worded that in a nicer way?
Collei returned the hand shake, still tentative but a lot more determined.
Collei: O-of course! I look forward to working together, now if you'll excuse me, sirs!
She went off to join Amber and the rest.
Kaeya: *amused* She's really changed huh?
Diluc: *plops hand on shoulder* So what did you do, Kaeya?
Kaeya: Argh alright, it was just a little misunderstanding...
Later that day, Amber came to check up on Kaeya.
Amber: *glares* Captain Kaeya. You didn't do anything to upset Collei did you?
Kaeya raised his arms in surrender.
Kaeya: Woah there, justice knight! You shouldn't accuse people so suddenly like that!
Amber: *narrows eyes* Hmph! Well I'll be watching you!
Diluc appeared beside them.
Diluc: Don't worry. *Crosses arms* As long as I'm around, I'll make sure he behaves.
Amber: Oh! Thank you, Master Diluc! I knew I can count on you, sir! *dashes off*
Kaeya: Hey come now, why am I being treated like the villain here?!
