—CASSANDRA DID NOT FAIL THE DARK ARTS EXAM. Rabastan was extremely proud of her and so was Theodore. Even she was proud of herself. But it was all thanks to Theodore.Right now, it was a quidditch day; Slytherin VS Hufflepuff.
Everyone was out in the quidditch pitch, watching the game or playing.
Maeve, Zara, and Vanessa had offered to stay with Cassandra, but Cassandra did not let them.
So, Cassandra was the only person in the Slytherin common room, or so she thought.
She laid down on one of the couches by the fireplace, closing her eyes.
For the first time in ages, she was so tired to the point she fell asleep within minutes.
♡
Theodore did not go to the quidditch game.
Why? Easy.
He knew Cassandra wouldn't go either.
He walked out of his room and walked down the stairway into the common room, noticing a figure asleep on the couch.
He immediately went back upstairs to his room and grabbed his blanket, then went back down and walked over to her.
Gently, he put his blanket over her sleeping figure.
And then he sat down on another couch and started to read a book.
Theodore wasn't dumb. He knew Cassandra had nightmares. He knew something was off with her— he knew everything was off with her.
And he understood why.
So, he was sitting there on another couch, just incase she woke up from a nightmare.
Just incase— (and Theodore doubted she ever would)— she needed him.
Every now and then, he glanced at her to see if she was alright, then went back to his book.
About an hour later, he heard her ask, "How long was i asleep?" in a sleepy voice.
"An hour, maybe." He replied as he closed his book.
She hummed and closed her eyes again, hugging the blanket closer to her, feeling comforted about the fact that it smelled like him.
"Why are you not at the game?"
Theodore let out a small sound of disbelief.
How was this girl so oblivious?
She would've been here. Alone. While everyone else was out watching the game.
How did she think he would not stay with her?
How did she think a mere game was more important to him than her?
"Do you need me to get you anything?" asked Theodore instead of replying to her question. "Some food? A juice?"
"Not hungry," mumbled the girl as she opened her eyes again.
"When was the last time you ate?"
She sighed. "It doesn't matter."
"Let's go to the kitchen to eat some food," he said. "Please?"
Cassandra nodded once and started to stand up, the blanket hanging over her shoulders as she hugged it to herself. "Let's go."
He felt himself smile at the sight of her like that— being wrapped up in his blanket. She looked quite adorable, thought the boy.
