#prose.from.a.rose - FIVE:
You fail to look beyond what little depths the pot in which your concerns lie in have.
Is that all you're worried about when contemplating life? - Suffering?
Can't you look beyond that? I know that suffering may lead to death or physical and/or mental impairments, but when viewing the universe you exist in; the one that God has created, is 'Why must I suffer?' really all you can say?
Let me explain the basic principals of this universe to you; an audience who clearly understands it not, despite existing in it for a varied amount of years.
Can't your eyes just look beyond its tainted-glass-like appearance?
Surely, it isn't that smokey. Isn't as nebulous as you make it sound. The universe.
What is it made up of?
Now, scientific air-heads would say that it's made up of galaxies with stars, planets, suns, moons, asteroids, meteors and space debris in them.
But I'm not speaking in a literal sense.
What are our LIVES made of?Ooh! There we have it! A key word! Well...almost.
The key word is 'life'.
Life cannot exist without death.
And that is where my principal shall start. The universe is made up of binaries.
A pair of polar opposites, if you will.
Life cannot exist without death.
Light cannot exist without darkness.
Good cannot exist without evil.
Just take the word 'light', for example. - How can you possibly define the word 'light' without explaining what 'dark' is?
'Light is luminous and lurid' - but what does it mean for something to be luminous? - Luminous things can glow in the dark. - See? The DARK. You can't fully explain one element without explaining its polar opposite that it exists in.So, when you criticise God for not interfering when it comes to Earthly suffering,
just remind yourself that flourishing cannot exist without suffering.[to flourish: (of a living organism) grow or develop in a healthy or vigorous way, especially as the result of a particularly congenial environment.]
Now, with that issue out of the way, I can move on to another one.
Any religious people who complain about being 'mortal'.
Firstly, wake up. Actually think. If you believe in the afterlife, which you may or may not do depending on your religion or belief system, then technically we're technically immortal.
Sure, we're mortal in terms of our life here on Earth, but after death, you fail to remember that our soul moves on. Or it might do, depending on your religion.
So, in actuality, we're not mortal. We're technically immortal.
Which is terrifying. But true in a sense.
That's it.
Those were the two points I wanted to make.
I thank you if you have reached the relatively short end of this piece of prose, if you could even call it that.
In many ways it shares a lot in common with a philosophical rant.
In summary, though, before you criticise God or complain about certain things, actually think about them for a while, and understand that God is never to blame.
To understand life, you must exist in this universe that is full of binaries, for without the many pairs of binaries that exist, there would only exist nothingness, an empty void.
I am sure that experiencing both sides of an axis is better than not being at all.
