• It All Comes Crashing Down • 4

Here we go.. started 9/21/22 
YA'LL.. FINISHED 10/11/22 WHAT THE FUCK

"..what?" 

You gasped out, seeing the smoke rising from beyond the wall. No one was supposed to be out there at the moment. The Scout's had just returned.. so, who was there? It wasn't until a couple people started screaming and pointing that you really focused on the actual wall. 

There, laid a hand gripping the concrete. From such a distance, you couldn't really make out a clear picture of whatever it was. But, it was more than obvious it was humongous. (Is that a..?) As if he read your mind, Armin stammered out, "This- this should be impossible! That wall is 50 meters high!" The theories of a titan were only confirmed as a head came into view from where the hand was. You felt like you could throw up laying eyes on the skinless face. (..it really is a titan..) You finally concluded as the civilians around started to scream their heads off.

You didn't. You were just frozen in place, watching the giant overlook your hometown. Was this what they call doomsday? There was no way you could survive this thing.. Living in Shiganshina, a town designed especially for luring titans, sucked. 

"It's moving!?" Eren screamed at your side. Maybe you should've been preparing for this your entire life, been more like Eren. That's all you could think as a loud crash could be heard from the gate. You couldn't see the actual thing from here, but damn did you hear it. The four of you instinctively ducked down and covered your ears in pain. You caught view of rocks soaring in the sky right before a gust of wind hit you straight in the face, almost knocking you over. Naturally, you covered your face and squeezed your eyes shut, not wanting any of the debris to get in them.

You could only listen to the rocks presumably crashing into houses and such before you assumed it was safe to open your eyes. One by one you cracked them open to immediately land on the wall where the titan.. 

..was? 

Your hands fell from your ears as you perked up, "What?!" You freaked out, seeing how the thing was seemingly 'shrinking' behind the wall.

Knocking you back into your actual surroundings was Eren mumbling. "The.. the titan- it.. broke the gate.."

"The gate?!" You repeated, but way more panic toned than the astonished Eren.

"We have to get out of here.. the titans are going to start coming inside..!" Armin expressed. You looked at him and before you could get a good look at him, as if on queue, the crowd simultaneously broke out into chaos. You only watched as people passed you, some dragging their children along, others almost tripping from the sheer amount of force they were putting into their run. Every moment and decision you, and they, will make from now on would be made on pure adrenaline. And right now, that adrenaline..? Well it kept you stuck in your spot.

"Eren?!" Mikasa's voice brought your attention back to your friends. But, when you looked towards Mikasa.. Eren was missing from where he once stood. 

Your eyes darted around and as soon as you caught sight of him, his voice yelled back at Mikasa, "The debris-! The houses!" He attempted to explain, not bothering to slow down so you could hear him over the chaos. Just before he was completely out of earshot he screamed, "MOM!"

That made Mikasa dart after him with no further questions. Leaving you and Armin still frozen in your spots. Finally, you could feel the tears swelling in your eyes as realization set in. "Eren's house is over there.." You spoke softly, but loud enough to reach the blond's ears and make him start to reach his hand out to you. "..my house is-" Your own choked cry cut off your words as you finally forced yourself to move forward, following in the same direction as your two friends.
