                             1770

"Deyuny is told to be a town filled with beauty and along with beauty, suspicions..."

A young boy of fifteen speaks as he is surrounded by a crowd who murmur until they become silent.

On the dusty street, a noble girl dressed in all black - a black overhead cloak covering her face and identity walks through the crowd, finally stopping to listen to the tale teller. Her feet silently walks through the crowd as the breeze blows her cloak.

"...Last three years, she experienced a great bad omen...ranging from drought, plagues, famine and lots more than I a peasant can dare to say. Along with the bad omen came the appearance of a young man, popularly referred to as ' The Hwansu.' Some believe him to be a god..."

An old man is shown sitting on a huge seat which has gold all over it, with diamond stones forming a huge star. A little bit further, there is a huge shelf with a lot of Large books in it, some labelling 'The study of the stars'.

The door opens and a messenger calls out bowing his head, not daring to look up to him:
"Astrologer Tomsin, His Highness sends for you!"

The Tale teller continues;
"...others worship the floor he steps on..."

A young girl dressed in a peach coloured gown smiles wagging a bunch of wild herbs. Her eyes are small, her nose slightly pointed, her slim pink lips are open as she silently sings out a song. She walks flaunting her not too striking features. Her slim face is fair and her hair straight - not too impressive.

As she walks, her silk gown touches the grass. She looks at the wild flower trees which surround her from both left and right. Footsteps increasing as a maid runs after her.

"Lady Danbury... Your Father warned you against plucking wild herbs, you would get hurt...you may be the next Royal physician after your Father...but don't you think you are taking this too far?"

"...others despise him, regarding him as rude, pompous, cruel, dominating and a fake. Thinking he caused the bad omen to save the empire and control it..."

An averagely old man walks, his shadow cast is huge as a result of the little light coming into the room. On his right cheek, there is a dark line which runs through his cheeks and stop at his neck, cutting through his Adam's apple - a scar from an old war.

His features are strong looking and arrogant. His white hair falls to his back making his chocolate coloured skin appear darker.

He walks through a huge room with his eyes totally fixed forward. His eyes move around facing a lot of relics and artefacts occupying almost all the provided space.

He moves dominating the room as guards bend their heads down greeting him.

"Royal priest...The Emperor sends for you." A man dressed in a uniform says.

"...Just three years in Dayuny the capital, this young man has dominated the empire's military, wealth and might. Some even regard him greater than the Emperor himself, who in my own opinion hides behind his shadow. The bad omen experienced by Yunchi empire last three years was all solved by the People's messiah and saviour, he helped farmers, Fishermen, business men, gold smiths and even royalty. That is how he climbed into power
...Now, he is regarded as the most influential man in the whole of Yunchi empire at the very tender age of twenty - three. Some say his wisdom surpasses even the royal advisors and his name unknown to others is 'Cae..."

The noble girl stares locking eyes with him as he utters his words.

A group of men walk holding golden swords with the Empire's symbol 'A lion. ' They are dressed in bronze armors as they walk patrolling the street.

"Halt!" The leader says when he spots the crowd.

The men stop when they see a crowd gathered listening to a lad who is dressed in dirty brown clothes with torn patches.

The young boy sights the Royal guards, he quickly pushes his bowl closer to the crowd:

"Pay up... That's all for today, come again if you want to discover the Hwansu's real name... And for that useful information, I will charge you higher!"

The people make a murmuring sound as they drop their coins inside the bowl, The noble girl drops a huge mass of gold into the bowl, still looking into his eyes.

Her cloak darkens her features hiding them, only her eyes are visible. She finally opens her mouth to speak, turning to face the Peasant tale teller, she says:

" You enjoy telling tales...a delightful hobby, but it will be the end of you! "

The Peasant stares up for a while still looking at the lady who uttered such words speechless. Startled by the Royal guards whom advance towards him and the crowd, he quickly runs into the crowd:

"Hey stop!"

He quickly picks up his bowl filled with money. As he runs away, he snatches a scarf from one of the people in the crowd, trying to blend in. As soon as the crowd spots the guards, they all jump up running away, making it harder for the guards to find the tale teller.

The noble girl stands still looking at the dispersed crowd, a devilish smile forms on her face as she gracefully walks forward. A maid from behind rushes towards her:

"Young lady, do not glare! It's improper, unladylike and impolite!"

"Talking trash when you are not asked to speak is also impolite and I delightfully earned my name as the 'Ice Witch' for a reason...and trust me, it wasn't because of I was just impolite!"

She walks pass her maid coldly with high confident shoulders. Her maid murmurs:
"A lady should not be rude! I blame it on her father...The Royal Priest!"

A carriage stops ahead with fat well fed horses. It is white and golden with beautiful designs on it - engraved flowers - peach and pink.

The noble lady walks into the carriage which is opened by a guard, her maid walks behind her.

The noble lady speaks "...You walk! I am taking the privilege of you sitting in my carriage by my side away...as my servant, you should know...I am no lady and I do not obey commands!"

The carriage moves with the servant walking  behind the guards.

From the carriage, the noble lady puts her head out through the window, her curly black hair files and her eyes widen as she takes off her cloak, exposing her dashing features .

A child-like smile appears on her face as she inhales the cool breeze:

"We are finally returning to Mountain groin, eastern Yunchi, My home!"

She turns facing the maid and her smile turns to a mocking one.

"... And you know we are still in Peachland... That is like 50 kilometers away... I hope you have a splendid time trekking for days under the kind sun!"

She sits back in her carriage feeling fulfilled. Bringing out a book, she moves closer to the window and says to the maid:

"I feel bored..." She sighs then a mischievous smile appears on her face.

"Sing me a song till we get to Mountaingroin... even when I am asleep, the guards should hear you sing!"

The maid finally responds submissively:

"Yes Priestess Verbena!"
