𝓢𝓾𝓷𝓭𝓪𝔂 3 𝓐𝓾𝓰𝓾𝓼𝓽 2009An elderly Mexican farmer is having his meal. He is eating a tortilla. The TV is on. [In Spanish] Now, let's move on to some other news. The FBI and DEA from Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States have requested that we display Savannah Esposito's missing person profile on our channel as part of an ongoing investigation. Both the DEA and the FBI have reason to believe that she was trafficked across the border. On Monday, July 14, 2009, Savannah Esposito was a crucial witness in what was believed to be a drug-related homicide on Albuquerque Highway in New Mexico, United States. The young girl has long dark brown hair and captivating blue eyes. Savannah weighs approximately 125 pounds and stands at 5 feet 4 inches tall. If you possess any information regarding Savannah's whereabouts or have recently seen her, we kindly request that you contact the authorities at the number provided below. Savannah's most recent photograph is displayed for reference.
The farmer's mouth opens in realization. He recognizes her! She was the frightened girl he drove...to the federal government. He is aware of the events that have transpired and the potential consequences. He possesses knowledge of her location... if she is still among the living!"I'm not sure," Savannah hears. She takes a swallow. She got an urge to clothe herself around twenty minutes ago. Fortunately, she always trusts her intuition. They speak too quietly for her to hear.Lalo takes a peek at Tuco. "Fine. "Kill her already," he grumbles, rolling his eyes. "Ashame. "I kind of liked her" he laughs. "The cousins will take her and kill her in the desert." They can simply leave her there." "And what about Nacho?" Lalo says, amused. "He's going shopping today." We'll just claim she hung herself when he gets back." Lalo chuckles. "All right," he replies as he walks away. Tuco snarls. He despised lying to Nacho. But it was feeling too hot under his buttocks right now. The word of this missing girl was quickly spreading. Fast. And far away. He had no idea how hot it was. If he had known she was a mobster before... He does not want to blend the Mob with the Cartel. That is asking for trouble. Everyone is aware of that. Savannah raises her head. Her slender figure is elegantly adorned in short pants and a pristine white shirt with flowing sleeves. Her luscious locks are meticulously gathered into a voluminous ponytail. She gracefully raises her gaze as Marco and Leonel enter the room, maintaining a composed demeanor. However, they fail to acknowledge her presence, leaving her perplexed about the unfolding situation. Leonel proceeds to gently secure her wrists with chains and assists her in rising. Subsequently, Leonel courteously offers her his arm and escorts her outdoors. Tuco and Lalo are not present. She is completely unaware of the situation, but she has a strong feeling that she will never see this home again...While the cousins drive their silver Porsche across the arid Mexican road, her heart beats rapidly. She sits in the back for what appears to be an eternity. She has no idea where they are taking her. She is aware that they intend to kill her. She is quite certain of it. But why go to such great lengths? Her distraught mother would never stop looking for her. And she would never be able to locate her... A tear rolls down her cheek as she gazes out the window.
A green SUV enters her peripheral vision. It charges towards them at full speed. A crimson pick-up truck arrives on the other side. A blue car follows them, while an orange station wagon blocks the road ahead of them. Marco and Leonel exchange glances. They then return their attention to the vehicles. "Get down," Marco instructs calmly. Savannah gulps. She quickly positions herself on the floor between the sofas. Leonel and Marco take their guns and run away. Savannah's heart beats fast in her throat. Leonel and Marco are standing in front of the car doors. Loaded and locked. The farmer gets out of the pick-up truck. [In Spanish] "Give me the girl," he says. Marco and Leonel exchange another glance. As a result, they shoot the farmer. His body and cranium had been pierced by six gunshots. Savannah covers her ears with her hands. She whimpers, terrified. Gunshots are heard in the distance. The car's glass shatters on her head and torso. When Marco and Leonel get back in the car, she looks terrified. Marco has a gunshot wound to the shoulder. She reclines in the backseat once again. People continue to fire at the automobile. Leonel drives as quickly as he can. When he turns, the tires screech. Marco shoots towards the gunmen from the window. Leonel curses in Spanish and stops abruptly. The car's front hangs over the edge of a steep valley. The valley is full of sharp rocks and cacti, and there is no hope for anyone in the car if it falls. "Don't move," Marco says, pressing his back against the seat. Leonel is speechless for the first time. He cannot get out of the car. His car door is already creaking across the threshold. The same is true for his brother's side. They only have one option... the back seat. But to get there, they have to move. And those movements could be dangerous. One of them could jump out and try to pull the car back, but it was too much to ask of one guy. His brother was like Superman to him, although he didn't have any superpowers. Savannah closes her eyes and inhales deeply through her nose, filled with fear. This was the most terrifying situation she had encountered in the past two weeks. Being tied to Nacho's bed, trapped in a van with two mentally unstable individuals, or being crushed beneath Tuco... No, this was the most dire of all.Marco murmurs something unintelligible. His hand is resting on the bleeding wound. He nods in agreement. He moves slowly between the two seats to the rear seat. Savannah stares at him, her eyes wide with terror. When the car moves, she braces herself for the worst. Marco becomes paralyzed with fear. When the vehicle comes to a halt, he sighs and settles into the seat next to Savannah.
He peers out the window. The front of the car is positioned dangerously over the edge of the ravine, ready to plunge into a free fall. However, the back doors and wheels are resting on solid rock. There is a very narrow ditch right next to the window. However, Marco believes it is possible to reach solid ground through the window.
Marco is the first to make his way through the window. Savannah watches him carefully as he maneuvers his body through the small opening. As soon as he touches the ground, he looks around and nods to Savannah.
Savannah is apprehensive about moving. "Come," he says, offering his hand. Savannah hesitates for a moment, but then decides to trust him. She takes a deep breath and places her hands in his. With Marco's help, she crawls through the window and safely exits the vehicle. She takes a deep breath of fresh air as soon as she is out of the car.
She overcomes her fear and succeeds. Leonel encounters a slight challenge exiting the vehicle as his expensive attire becomes entangled with the gear lever, resulting in a torn jacket. Simultaneously, Marco diligently searches for a phone signal. Just as Leonel is about to exit the car, a sudden movement catches Savannah's attention. Without fully understanding why, her body instinctively lunges forward. "Leonel!" she exclaims, swiftly grabbing the boy's arms. She allows her weight to be supported by his arms, causing him to tumble out of the window. They both land on the scorching ground with a resounding thud. Savannah groans and lifts her head, while Leonel remains panting on his back. Marco is astonished by the sight of Savannah rescuing his brother. The automobile makes a loud noise as it lands on the rocky ground. The ground shakes due to an explosion, and a large cloud of smoke appears. Leonel quickly stands up and growls. The cliff where Savannah and Leonel landed trembles because of the explosion. The outcome could have been very different. Leonel removes the sand from his suit and nods to Marco. Savannah suddenly feels the effects of the explosion. The edge she was standing on, which was slightly lower than the solid ground where they had driven the wagon, shakes and crumbles beneath her. She screams "No!" and grabs onto the protruding dead roots of a long-decayed cactus.
Savannah's wrist was firmly held by a muscular hand. She lifted her head as she heard a growl of anguish from the incision directly on his muscles. He was exerting all of his strength. Marco Salamanca was holding onto her. He looked at her and quietly said, "I won't let you go." Savannah swallowed. Why had he saved her? Was it because she had defended Leonel? No, there was more to it than that. She noticed it in his eyes. She was distressed and concerned for her life, dangling from a cliff over a ravine.
With all of his might and the help of his brothers, Marco pulled her up. He lay back on the floor, breathing heavily. Leonel looked around, double-checking his ammunition and helping his brother get his bearings. Marco helped Savannah get her bearings and removed her shackles. But why? She nodded gratefully. "Over there," he said, pointing. Savannah swallowed. This could be a long journey.
