Chapter 5|A fight and a deal

Third Person POV
The start of the battle was fierce, each sending fireballs and lightning at each other, eventually one fire ball grew to three, three grew to six and eventually grew to nine, it was almost impossible to tell who would win, one side would get the upper hand which would be taken away immediately by the other.

You could tell that even the spectators were getting concerned and worried for their friend, well all except the violet and yellow ones who were very clearly annoyed and didn't really seem to care, it was like they only viewed their 'friend' as a tool.

The battle grew more and more fierce but suddenly one of them spoke, "Sabre, let's make this more interesting shall we?" The hooded steve said as his voice rang throughout the arena "What do you mean Void" the one who was known to be the 'savior' of the steves questioned "I'll show you what i mean" The steve responded and as he did a flash of light appeared, suddenly something similar to a screen appeared in mid-air similar to the Time dimension's TV with all of the steves in the rainbow kingdom (and sub-areas like Emerald's home and the Steve village) being able to watch the battle "what did you do" Sabre asked "nothing much just got us a audience" The once blue steve said in a teasing manner but this, this is not a time for teasing, Sabre could feel the pressure increase every, single, second.

Sabre had known that the steves always counted on him, and he already had that pressure on him from the start of the fight, but now that all of the steves were now watching him? It made that pressure grow and grow which is exactly what Void meant to do, Sabre tried to calm himself he knew it would effect his fighting if he gave into this pressure, so he took a couple of deep breathes. He calmed down to the best of his abilities until he heard a noise coming from the viewing area above.

"DON'T YOU DARE SPEAK OF SABRE LIKE THAT" could be heard from above, it seems that the Rainbow and Galaxy colored steves said that along with a orange haired person named Alex "all I'm saying is the truth you barbarians" the steve who is believed to be the leader of the yellows said, who was followed by the leader of the violets saying "and who are you to speak of Sabre in such high regard? he's done countless horrible things" "NOW THAT IS JUST FALSE" both the leader of the orange steves (no i'm not saying Oranges) and the opposite of darkness, Light steve said, "Oh please don't act like you actually care about him" the leader of the violets spoke "how dare you speak of my FRIEND like that!" The usually calm leader of the greens spoke with quite a lot of hatred in his voice.

This argument between the steves (and Alex and The Guardian) became more and more intense for all of the steves to see, although everyone was relieved that they haven't started using their powers- "HOW DARE YOU STRIKE ME WITH LIGHTNING!" Yellow Leader said "that wasn't me that was Karma :]" Rainbow steve replied with a lot of sass "WHY YOU I'LL SHOW YOU KARMA" Yellow Leader said.

Sabre was distracted by the fighting of his friends and Void saw this as his chance he took out his scythe and rushed over to Sabre, with only a minute to spare Sabre saw Void and blocked Void's scythe using the galaxy sword and so with that the battle resumed, catching the attention of the steves causing them to return to their respective places to watch the battle continue, although this time there was a barrier between Yellow and Violet and the others.

Sabre stayed on the defense blocking or dodging everyone of Void's hits, Void on the other hand focused on offense twisting and spinning his scythe trying to find new angles to try and strike, he even tried spinning around, although i don't see how he thought that could've worked, this is a actual fight not a pokemon battle or tv show/movie Void.

Sabre started doing a combination of defense and offense, still focusing on defense but landing multiple hits on Void, he even did so once with fire covering the galaxy sword, Void on the other hand wasn't as lucky, he missed every single one of his hits, it looked like he would finally be defeated so he decided to use his final tactic.

When Sabre was far enough away from Void he started to talk, "Sabre, i have a proposition for you" he spoke voice loud and clear "well whatever it is I'm not interested Void" Sabre spat out leaving him exactly where Void wanted him, "Oh but Sabre, you wouldn't want to see your brother hurt now would you? After all you promised him that you would protect him at all costs" he said calmly, "What do you mean Void" Sabre asked "Well why don't i just show you" Void said as lighting struck revealing a familiar silhouette seemingly beaten and tied up, "S-Shadow?" Sabre asked "hey brother" Shadow replied and smiled weakly, "what did you do to my brother" Sabre spoke coldly "just taught him a couple lessons dear" Void said in a teasing tone.

This, to Sabre was the final breaking straw, he had known that whenever someone had a scythe he needed to focus on defense but as soon as that last straw broke it went out the window, He rushed towards Void, he kept swinging at him furiously landing several hits, Void meanwhile took the hits only receiving a couple bruises.

"pathetic" two voices said belonging to the now hated Violet and Yellow leaders, Violet continued "he can't even protect his brother, how is he supposed to save us" Violet said almost cackling, which was met by both light steves giving him a death glare and Alex almost destroying the barrier between them.

Void used this to his advantage, while Sabre was distracted he swung at him and pushed him to the ground, keeping him there using his scythe, "He's right Sabre, how are you supposed to save the steves when you can't even protect your brother, you can't even protect yourself, how pathetic is that" Void paused for a bit to laugh "how are you a non steve supposed to save and help us? Cmon Sabre tell me, I'm all ears" Void smirked knowing full well what Sabre's reaction would be "i- don't know-" Sabre muttered "Hah you don't know? At least when i was Rainbow steve i HAD a plan, you? Your just a poor excuse for a so called Savior, friend, and brother" Void finished receiving death glares by basically everyone besides Sabre, Violet and Yellow, Void waited for Sabre to respond and it was worth it, "your right" Sabre said softly "nice to see that you've finally come to your senses so now" Void paused for a minute bringing Shadow closer to them "I'll make you a deal, you either come with me or," he redirected his scythe to Shadow "it's off with his, and all your other friends head." Void finished calmly yet threateningly while teleporting all of his friends to a cell nearby.

"Sabre don't listen to him you got this" Sabre heard his friends say while also hearing multiple supportive messages from them, but all of it was going through one ear and out again, Sabre watched as Void scythe went closer and closer to Shadows neck, "FINE" he shouted "I'll go with you just let my brother and my friends go" "Good choice Sabre" Void said hiding his scythe, after he did he started to teleport them, excluding him and Sabre, "SABRE NO" was the last thing heard from Shadow and Rainbow before they were teleported, leaving Void and Sabre, Void removed the screen and approached Sabre "Well then it's finally time to have some FUN" he said while laughing.
