Chapter 9

Remnant

While Jaune is enjoying his life on Earth, Remnant on the other hand changed slightly after his disappearance. At Beacon, most of the students felt anger towards him since he faked his way in. They all want to teach him a lesson especially Yang and Weiss. After a week of not seeing Jaune, everyone thought that Jaune had been expelled and were relieved since they don't have to worry about a faker among them again. The staffs however, have changed as well, they would give detention when they bad mouth something about the blonde hair boy and becomes stricter subtly which goes unnoticed by the students. The Arc family were no better, when Jaune didn't return home that day, they first thought he was running late and waited, waited and waited but still didn't come home. They got worried especially Saphron who called Ozpin

Saphron: What?!

She screamed as stands in her room with a petrified face. Her iris can be seen shaking as tears were threatening to spill

Ozpin: I'm so sorry, Saphron. Whatever happens to Jaune when he boarded the Bullhead remains a mystery even to me. This is the first time something of this phenomena ever occurred in history

Ozpin on the other line sigh silently as he has been investigating Jaune's case for as long as four months. He tried to come up with every theory he could that caused this but couldn't come to a conclusion yet. He honestly, felt quite disappointed in himself for not preventing this but he was powerless

Saphron: What about the pilot? How come he doesn't noticed this?! He could have heard something as he was flying!

She tried to be strong to not breakdown but with every attempt was quickly put down

Ozpin: The pilot reported back to me when he arrives at the airport of Argus but somehow he couldn't found him only his luggage remained... Did you claimed his luggage yet, Saphron?

Saphron sits down on her bed with her eyes closed and starts to cry silently but was loud enough to be heard by Ozpin who felt bad for her. Saphron took a deep breath

Saphron: Yeah... I already got them here...

She look towards her little brother's luggage laying on the floor. She will keep them in an unused wardrobe

Ozpin: That's good Saphron, at least his things are with you now

Ozpin sigh as he skimmed through the reports on his table regarding his former student's situation

Saphron: Ozpin... Please I beg of you to find him not for the family, but for me...

Ozpin smile at the sibling bond that Saphron and Jaune had and will respected that

Ozpin: I will Saphron. That will always be my first thing to do

Saphron: Thank you

With that beeping can be heard meaning Saphron had hang up. Ozpin put down his scroll before looking through the reports again

Ozpin: I will find you, Jaune. No one should have gone out like that and I will make sure to not lose anymore lives than I have...

He looks out from his window seeing the sunset at the Emerald Forest

Ozpin: I hope that she isn't involved in this...

Ozpin will continue to search for Jaune so that he won't suffer from his mistakes, no one will anymore. However, what he didn't know was some events will take place for that to happen

Earth
