In a completely shocking and unexpected turn of events, Sungchan, Jeno, and I were at Donghyuck's house one night, as usual.

I admit now that I could have tried to branch out back then, expand my circle, but I enjoyed the three's company, so I didn't mind that we were always together.

Due to Donghyuck's persuasion, we were all spending the night. We had played a few video games, Jeno demolishing us entirely, ate a concerning amount of junk food, and now our exhausted bodies were shutting down for the night.

While Jeno and Donghyuck were half-heartedly bickering about something that I can no longer remember, I slid over to Sungchan on the couch.

Though I still couldn't be certain who he liked, it was still fun to tease him with people I knew weren't right. Tapping his arm, I leaned close in order to not be overheard.

Knowing my intentions, Sungchan leaned down, the sudden proximity closer than I expected. Still, I tried not to let my flustered self show.

"Are you ready to admit your undying romantic feelings for Donghyuck yet?" I teased, my smile growing.

Eyeing our friends across the room, Sungchan just shook his head in amusement. "I'm actually more into Jeno."

Obviously he was being sarcastic, but I just had to double check. "Wait, really?"

"No." He smiled. "But I'm offended that you would actually believe that."

"Am I even close?" I questioned, my curious gaze never leaving his. He knew of my numerous theories, each more ridiculous than the last.

He nodded, and I could feel his breath. If I didn't know any better, I could have sworn he was looking at my lips before meeting my gaze. I could barely hear his whisper of an answer. "You're very close."

Whether that was meant literally or figuratively, I would never know. I got interrupted before I could ask.

"What are you two whispering about?"

We turned to see two sets of wide, suspicious eyes watching us.

While I moved away from Sungchan as nonchalantly as possible, he answered for us.

"Nothing that concerns you." I remember his smile, how easily he brushed off their curiosity.

"Fine. Keep your secrets." Donghyuck sighed, turning his attention elsewhere. Despite the late hour, he was in no apparent mood to go to bed. "You guys want to watch a movie?"

My eyes hurt and I felt like passing out at any moment, but everyone else agreed, so I went along with it.

There was a debate as per usual, but finally a genre was picked, and we all settled down.

I vaguely remember the beginning, and a few jokes made, and then I was out.

Unfortunately for me, I wasn't even able to sleep the whole night. I woke up hours later from a dog barking somewhere outside, the television still on, credits rolling. From the light of the screen I could see a passed out Jeno with an unconscious Donghyuck's arm resting on his face. I looked on the couch where Sungchan was sitting, but the giant was nowhere to be found.
