After reuniting with Jeno and Donghyuck at the dance, (we told them we just stepped out for some air), the night was practically over.

On our way back from the hallway, Sungchan had brought up a proposal to me.

"My mom wants to meet you."

I felt like I was in a movie, about to meet my death. Still, I pretended as if I wasn't horrified.

"If it's alright with your parents, you could come over for dinner tonight. My dad's on a business trip, so my mom is staying at the house. I bet if you wanted to, you could even stay the night afterwards." He ran his fingers through my hair, teasing me. "If you would want to, of course."

What was I supposed to tell Sungchan? That I wouldn't be coming over because I was terrified of what his mother would think of me? That wouldn't be happening.

So I swallowed my worries, agreeing to the meet up.

Since my date had vanished, only reappearing to let me know she was going home with a friend, I was in the clear.

Sungchan's mom had dropped him off at the dance on their way back, and since I had a car, the solution was obvious.

The only trouble now was going home to grab stuff. I knew that Sungchan would let me borrow some of his clothes to sleep in, but I still valued personal hygiene.

I was left with an important decision. I could do the rude thing and abandon Sungchan in my car while I ran inside, or I could let him in. He'd never met my parents before, but I wasn't anxious for that to occur. I would have let him down into my room, but I knew the tornado-like state that it had been in when I left, and I wasn't about to let him see that.

When we pulled up to the house, all lights appeared to be off inside, so I figured we were in the clear.

"You can come inside, but we have to be quiet, my parents are asleep." I hoped.

Leaving him in the front room, I ran downstairs as quick as I could. Grabbing objects and throwing them in a bag, I was anxious to get out of there.

To my dismay, when I made my way back up the stairs, the light to the front room was on, greeting me. Peeking my head in, I wasn't surprised to see my mother, arms crossed standing beside Sungchan.

"Shotaro." She said, raising a brow. "Were you just going to run out of here without even saying goodbye?"

"Of course not." Everyone in that room knew I was lying.

Forgetting about me, she turned to the kid still in a suit. "So you're the Sungchan I've heard so much about?"

"That's me." Sungchan smiled, taking this far too well. I was about to dissolve on the spot and he was nothing but calm.

"I keep telling Shotaro to give you some space. You two are together so often, you don't even have time for your girlfriend or anything."

I wanted to scream.

"Oh no, don't worry about that." Sungchan shook his head, standing tall. "I don't have a girlfriend and I'd much rather spend time with Shotaro."
