James wakes up and grabs his phone, seeing 2 messages from Maddie and Katie respectively.
He reads Katie's first which states "I went ahead and put my number in your phone before I left. I'll see you later handsome ;)" and before looking at Maddie's which just says "See you this afternoon."
"This is going to be awkward."
He gets up and takes a quick shower before getting a phone call.
"Hello is this a James Roberts?"
James: Yes that's me.
"Hello Mr Roberts. we received your application for the position in the Portsmith location of our diner. We are pleased to tell you that we'd love to hire you and that no interview is required."
James: That's awesome, but I have to ask. why no interview?
"Well that location is at risk of closure. Business is fine, but we have not been receiving as many applicants as we used to."
James: Well I'm happy to take the job and can start tomorrow.
"About that. We were hoping you could start tonight so we can get you trained during a slower time for the store?'
James: Oh well I don't think that is possible, sorry.
"Well how about tomorrow at 5pm?"
James: Sounds good.
"Perfect. Tracy is the manager and she'll take good care of you. See you tomorrow and welcome to the company."
James: Thanks and have a good day.
With a source of income secured. James heads towards Seaside.
Arriving at the still ruined part of town, he is quickly rushed into the bar they always meet.
Anthony: Ah James. Glad to see you're still alive. Katie told us you two had a encounter with some suspicious individuals?
James: Yeah, but I think I took care of them or at least delayed them.
Anthony: Good. We're about to start the meeting with the remaining Seasiders.
James looks around the room which only contains about 25 people, what remains of Seaside and of course himself.
James: You guys took this big of a hit? That's not good.
Anthony: Yes, but it's the situation we are in so we have to make due. Now follow me.
The two walk tot he front of the crowd and stand next to Mia and Katie.
Anthony: Seasiders! We have taken greats strides in repairing out home, but as you see now that there are few of us remaining. Without exact numbers I estimate that those in room and those injured plus their caretakers in the medbay are all that remains. This is the worst news, but there is something to take solace in. Our endeavors have proven fruitful and our investigation has begone to reach more and more news sources. However, there is more to be done. We need to reach the biggests news media to go nationwide. I believe our friend here may have something to help us.
James steps up
James: I have located a offshore property which is not listed anywhere online. It is the best option we have within what is affordable to move all of our evidence to so that it is safe.
Anthony: With this we can hopefully focus on rebuilding our home here while continuing our more secretive and dangerous work elsewhere.
Everyone seems to be happy and Mia steps up
