Crystalsight was noticably annoyed by the arrival of a new cat. To that, right when they were about to win Tommy's trust. His competitive behaviour would've made it easier than ever.
Who was that tom? And why did Greenstar know him?
Tommy gave the strong leader an angered look before switching places, so Greenstar could go and talk to Firefly. "Crystalsight, who is he?" the diluted orange tom asked. "Do I look like I have a clue of what is going on? I have never seen this cat in my entire life." he responded.
Tommy's tail nervously swept from side to side over the wet, earthy floor. Crystalsight's paws twitched then and when. He wouldn't admit it, but his toxic jealousy in the combination with abondment issues was deadly. "Greenstar, enough." He spoke, turned his to Tommy for a second and then back. "We were in the middle of something important and our time shouldn't be spend on a random stray." Firefly laid back his ears. "A stray?!" he angrily shouted but Greenstar stopped him. "Listen, Crystalsight this is my old friend Firefly. He and I technically grew up like brothers in this forest. But we seperated at just a young age; I lived alone until we met, Crystalsight. And I have dedicated my life to this clan, but wouldn't it be nice to share it with other forest cats." When he pronounced forest cats his eyes wandered to Tommy. It wasn't hard to tell that Greenstar would choose Firefly over Tommy any day. Crystalsight didn't really agree with the idea and silently nodded. "Welcome to HunterClan, Firefly."
Tommy was angry. The words burnt like fire in his head. The rage he was feeling came from the depths of his heart. How could they let a cat into the clan that easily just because he was born in this stupid forest!
"Greenstar, it is time for you to let me into the clan!" Tommy hissed aggressively. Greenstar came closer until he was only centimetres away from his face. "Kittypet." the leader meowed, and Tommy's rage turned into hate; not only hate but sadness and embarassment, something that made him feel small like a mouse in its predator's claws. A tear fell and Greenstar started laughing. Firefly made amused noises, adding to the tyrannic scenario.Only Crystalsight was quiet. The pain Tommy felt was undescribable.
He fled. His paws were faster than when he ran to escape the twolegs, faster than when he ran to catch prey and faster than when he came back only to find out...he was never their first choice.
His path through the muddy floor was hard and what made it even worse was the fact it was already turning night. Only the moon would enlighten his way.He seeked help at the big oak tree. The one, which would strangely smell of honey. It was frozen on the outside now, showcasing how much the tempature dropped, as it slowly became night.
"Beeheart?" Tommy whimpered. The tears would almost directly freeze on his cheek.
A small cat creeped out from under the roots of the big oak tree. "Oh it is you friend. What brings you here at this time?"  Tommy looked up to the sky. It was very dark and a few stars already started glowing. "Can I come inside?" he asked. After Beeheart's "sure" Tommy followed his friend inside. It was a small cave, enough to fit in 3 cats of Tommy's size. It was secured by walls of oak roots. In the middle of the ceiling, which was about 2 cats high, a small bottle with glowing flies stuck in the dirt. "What's that?" Tommy asked. "Oh, fireflies. I let them out each morning. They're so nice, they come back every evening and lighten up my cave!" Beeheart purred and laid done on a nicely done feather bed.
"Firefly..." Tommy repeated. Beeheart knew something was saddening his friend and he didn't like the thought of his friends feeling that way. "Why don't you lay down next to me and we talk about your problem?" Beeheart invited him. The cozy feathers had a soothing effect on Tommy and he told Beeheart his story. How he escaped his twoleg house and met a clan. And how he got rejected by them. Tommy's mind switched back to being a kittypet and he looked down on himself. A red collar. Beeheart had known Tommy was one all along. He knew it from the moment they first met. "I am a kittypet and you still shared your prey with me.." Tommy was shocked. "What do you think?" "What do I think about what?" "What do you think? Why had I given you my prey?" Beeheart asked. He didn't wait for an answer, he came closer to Tommy. "I had a friend, long ago. He was a kittypet like you and just so young. He was so brave and only to be betrayed by forest cats and....killed. Listen, a kittypet would've never done such a thing. It's why I trust them more than these feral cats; Because they know that violince won't be a solution." Tommy lowered his head and almost closed his eyes. "I'm sorry to hear that. But I'm also very thankful for your support." Beeheart started purring. His eyes forming small slits and his smile grew from ear to ear. "You remind me of a racoon, Tommy. A bouncy raccoon. You will be known as Raccoonbounce, because you deserve being a well-known warrior!"

"Raccoonbounce wake up!" Beeheart screamed from afar. Birds could be heard from outside the cave. But Raccoonbounce was deeply dreaming.
A scenario with fire all over the place. A brown cat steps up onto a big rock and started mumbling words, Tommy couldn't understand. A cat beside him with ghost-like fur talked to him. "Tommy, when soot ascends in war against fire, a flower will bloom to calm the bloodbath."
Tommy's head lifted. He could now hear Beeheart's screams clearly. His dream was over and he could only make little sense of the things the ghost in his dream has said. His paws felt hurt. Even if the feather bed was better than anything else a cat could find in this forest, it was not the soft pillows he was used to from his kittypet life. "There you are Raccoonbounce." Raccoonbounce had noticed the large tom standing right in front of them two. "Will, how have you found me?"
Racoonbounce asked in shock. "Have you forgotten that we were born together? I just had to follow your scent. And how I see you have already found your place." His eyes wandered down to Raccoonbounce's neck. He was expecting to find his red collar, with the shiny gold mark. Instead there was just fur. Will smiled: "I will come back later again, I have someone important to meet."
Will's paws turned and he launched to jump over the roots, vanishing behind the dozens of trees.
"Beeheart, why is my collar gone?" "Oh I thought I'd do you a favour by removing it, since you are now a real warrior!" Raccoonbounce nodded.
It didn't take long until Will stood on the entrance to the cave again, this time with a small red kitten in his company. Beeheart was just as confused as Raccoonbounce. Will came closer to Raccoonbounce. "I didn't introduce myself to your little friend yet. How rude. I am Will, Tommy's older brother." Beeheart peacefully made eye contact. "I am Beeheart, friend of Raccoonbounce."
Will looked down upon Raccoonbounce. "Mmh, well then, hello Raccoonbounce. You surely haven't met this guy before," his tail pointed at the small red kit, "this is my son, Raccoonbounce. His name is Foxpaw." Raccoonbounce was puzzled. A son? Who was his mother? And when did that happen? "Congratulations Will.." Raccoonbounce smiled weakly. The kit seemed disinterested on meeting its uncle and didn't like the idea of family-meetings. From what Racoonbounce saw, the shuffeling, the ear-twitching and the constant eye-rolls..Foxpaw just wanted to go home, if they did even have one. Turns out they don't. "Racoonbounce, I had promised my beloved wife to keep Foxpaw with me, so she could go back to her far away home.
And, the worst part, I can't come back to the twolegs with a child on my side. I need to stay somewhere, Raccoonbounce." Beeheart looked over to Raccoonbounce : "Well you could stay with us."
And that is how they carried on. Will built small dens in a big circle all around the place. It was secured by the many oak trees around there. A few dens were filled as a storage and soon they had started a camp-like place to live. It was just like Raccoonbounce had memorised it from the Hunter Clan. This was a camp. A camp for a clan. And by now they already had more members than the Hunter Clan when Raccoonbounce ran away from them. "Sootsong." Will said. His eyes high up to the night sky. It took them one whole moon to finish the camp. "Sootsong will be my name." He declared. "And to worship my leadership, this clan will be called Soot Clan."
Raccoonbounce didn't like how the so-called Sootsong invaded this place and just made it his own. He did nothing except listening to Raccoonbounce's stories of how the clan cats proceeded with him once he wanted to join. And now that would make him a leader? He didn't even call himself Sootstar, as he should since he's a leader now. Raccoonbounce knew it was time to seek Crystalsight. Even Raccoonbounce could tell he was wise. And they had just started a new clan so knowing how to lead one would do good.
