Chapter 49: Realization

Kana had no time to react when Nami yanked Y/N's arm and brought her to her side.

"No matter what you say, Y/N doesn't like you!"

Kana's jaw clenched and she stared heatedly at Nami.

"Shut up Nami! Don't speak for herself!"

"I know what Y/N likes and what she doesn't like." Nami smugly said. "We can see and be with each other so we're a lot closer than you are!"

"Oh yeah? Well I know how to pleasure her!" Kana retorted. "I bet you can't even do that!"

"Are you challenging me?" Nami smirked. She held Y/N's chin and guided her face towards her. " Do you want us to give you a demo?"

Kana's eyes widened once she saw Nami about to kiss Y/N.

"STOP!" her scream made Nami and Y/N flinch.

"Just stop it!" Kana fell down on her knees and covered her eyes. Nami was stunned at the act and grew worried once she heard Kana's cries.

"Kana......"

"I hate you Nami...." Kana sobbed and looked up at Nami. "I really hate you...."

Her cries only grew louder and Nami couldn't take it any longer. She approached Kana and engulfed her in a hug.

"There..." Nami soothingly said.. " I'm sorry.."

This made Kana want to cry more as she hugged Nami tighter.

Meanwhile, Y/N seemed out of place and was shocked at the events. Once she regained her focus, she quietly left to give the 2 some privacy.

"You're so mean, N-Nami.." spoke Kana between sobs.

Nami smiled sadly and caressed her hair.

"Yes, I've been mean... So sorry, I never wanted to hurt you.."

"Then why?"

Nami went silent for a few seconds and sighed.

"It's because I've been selfish... And it's always because of you..."

Kana looked up and once she did, there was only a few distance between their faces. She gasped faintly and was drawn to Nami's lips at the moment.

"So I did that and I wasn't being.."

Kana zoned out on the words and her only focus was on Nami's lips. She could feel the rapid beat of her heart and the flush appearing on her cheeks.

"I've realized it now...."

She did a quick glance upwards and noticed Nami's sad eyes.

"You were always the reason... It's just that I have always been the coward..."

Memories on where Nami continuosly stood up for her flashed on Kana's mind.

"You were always there for me.. Protecting me, Cheering me up, Understanding me...."

Nami continued her speech and Kana only gazed at her.

"Even to the point where your feelings will be hurt.. You still wanted me to be happy.."

"I won't interfere now. You're free to pursue Y/N." Nami bitterly said.

"How have I been so selfish? And have I always been this blind?"

Nami gently held Kana's face and wiped her tears away.

"Stop crying now. It doesn't suit you.."

"I kept on chasing a perfect illusion, when I already have an amazing reality.."

*(CHU!)*

"W-What the..."

Nami's eyes widened. She could feel Kana snaking her arms around her neck and pulling her closer. Soft moans can be heard as Kana moved her lips while Nami still stood frozen.

Once they separated, Nami stared at Kana in shock while the latter's eyes twinkled.

"K-K-Kana..."

"I'm not backing down after this realization.." Kana smiled. " I like you Nami.. I always did.."
