The school bell finally rings, signalling the end of the day and the start of the school holidays, finally.

I grabbed my books, pencil case and laptop and walked out of the classroom after Mr Taylor dismissed the class.

I walked to my locker, entered the code and placed my books in, grabbing my schoolbag, closing my locker and heading for the school gates, hugging Kayla, Jessie and Tilly goodbye as I walked passed them.

I ran over to the bus stop once I got out the school gates, the bus arriving less than three minutes later.

I put in my airpods and played one of my many spotify playlists, Sarah by Alex G began to play, and I tapped on with my card then headed to the back of the bus, sitting down.

About a stop later, a Samoan girl with long, black hair, and tanned skin got on, sitting on the other side of the back row, smiling at me as she sat down, I smiled back -obviously, I'm not a stuck up prick- and went back to looking out the window.

Ten minutes later the bus reached my stop, the train station behind a big shopping centre, and I got off, the girl getting off too.

"Same stop?" I laughed awkwardly.

"Yea, what train are you catching?" She asked.

"The one that goes to Redwater, I live pretty far from here"

"Ugh, no way same! Whats your insta?" She asked, handing my her phone. I typed it in, and pressed the follow button. "Thanks, Camryn," she said reading the name on my profile. "I'm Natia by the way."

"Nice to meet you Natia" I smiled.

We continued talking as we waited for the train, then when the train arrived we talked the whole twenty-minute trip to Redwater station, talking about anything from school grades to sports, specifically volleyball and the AFL, to making jokes about our childhood trauma.

When the train finally stopped at Redwater station we got off, said goodbye, talked about how we should hang out these holidays, which I hope actually happens because she's literally the nicest person and super pretty too, and parted ways.

I walked out of the station street and up the main street of the large town, before turning the corner and walking two kilometres down the road until the lake with large red trees overhanging the water came into view. I walked into the café on the corner, the bell jingling as I entered.

I smiled as I saw my brother at the counter. I walked over, throwing my bag on it and grabbing out my laptop.

"What did I say about putting bags on the counter?" Josh raised an eyebrow at me, I raised one back. "C'mon Cam, you know Mr Harrison tells me off for letting you do it, and I'd like to keep my job."

"Its not like you need it," I mumbled under my breath before and placing my schoolbag down beside me, slightly rolling my eyes. Just then Mr Harrison, the owner of the café, walked out with my usual iced coffee in his hand, putting it down in front of me. I smiled at him, taking a long sip out of the straw.

"Y'know you make the best iced coffees in town Mr Harrison." I said, smiling at him.

"Yes, I have an idea. Otherwise my café would have shut down hears ago, and I wouldn't have your brother working here, he's then main tourist attraction y'know" He said patting Josh's shoulder, I fake threw up before Mr Harrison ushered him to take the orders of the two girls who had just walked in.
