After leaving julie, I poofed into the art museum where alex and I had screamed in. It was usually my quiet, happy space, but today, a heavy feeling hung through the air, as if the building knew I was nervous. The area was no longer closed for renovations, and people streamed in to see the new art displays. I sat on the bench, waiting for Alex, questioning my life- no, death choices. Why did I have to join Caleb? I hadn't been long since I joined him, only a matter of years, but I couldn't even remember the deal I had made with Caleb... if I hadn'tve made this deal, I wouldn't be in this mess. I sighed.
"I can do this, just tell him, come on." I tried hyping myself up. I already asked him to come, no turning back now.as if on cue, Alex appeared on the bench next to me.
"Hey" he greeted, looking around. "Wow, this place is busy."
"Yeah it is..." I agreed. "I can do this." I murmured under my breath.
