Isabella screeches, “Why are you laughing? Charlie is indeed single; he does not have more kids than me.”
Anna cuts in, saying, “Isabella, you have three siblings; don't you think Dad would not have said they are our step-siblings if they weren't?”
Isabella got a sour look; she said, “Well, just show me my room” (Note there are four bedrooms and five bathrooms in the house).
Dad says, “Okay, Emma can show them their room.”
I say, OK.”
Isabella and Anna started following me to their room. When we got to their room, Isabella said, “I call this room.”
“Actually, you and Anna share a room,” I say.
Isabella screeches, “I am not going to share a room with her.”
“Isabella, you can share or sleep outside,” Anna says with an eye roll.
“Fine,” Isabella huffed, “but stay on your side.”
“Now that is settled. If you need anything, Dad and my Mom are just two doors down, and Damon is across from you,” I say.
Anna asked, “Where do you sleep?”
“I sleep in the attic.”
“You sleep in the attic,” Isabella says in a sarcastic tone.
“Yes, it is so cool, you see it?”
“Well, no”
“Well, do you want to see it?”
