Cassie couldn't help but scream as a mermaid came towards her, it's mouth open, revealing a row of very sharp, almost needel point teeth. Cassie fought to get out of the hold she was in but to no avail. Suddenly the grip around her was gone. She thrashed wildly but strong waves threatened to pull her down. In her panic and utter terror she hit her head against a sharp rock, For a moment things were pleasantly calm and quiet, Cassie began to sink peacefully to the bottom of the lake. Seconds later Cassie could feel A pair of strong, wiry arms wrapped around her middle, pulling her from The water. She was now cold And laying on the dirty freezing bank Of the lake. She heard someone calling her name but it sounded like it was coming from a distance, She felt a heavy fist thump against her chest And in moments she was shocked out of her dream like state and was coughing up water.
Onyx was glaring at her, his own hair dripping wet and covered in seaweed.
Cassie met his gaze and immediately tired to sit up, "Holy Shit!" "There was a mermaid and it had these insane sharp teeth and there was this beautiful music.."
