Tragedy

A loud alarm goes off. I run to the screen next to me and put in the password. The system sparks and then smokes. I see people running past me and i grab Marley's arm then start running with the crowd. The only thing that i know what to do right now is run. I push Marley out the door then run back inside to see if anyone else is there. I quickly pick up a woman. This woman had been bleeding. The smell of blood makes me cringe. I holder her tight and run for the door. The other side of the door is packed with people. Out of everyone there, i see my boss. He is trying to get through the crowd. His head swings to look through the windows of the door. He sees me then runs in my direction. I don't stop running. I get to the door and push it open. I hear my boss yelling my name. I yell back "take her and get her to the hospital." I look down at her face. She had been burned. I look at her shoulder that was bleeding. She had been shot too. Boss takes her and i turn to run inside. I feel a hand on my shoulder and i turn back to see Marley looking at me with sad eyes. "Don't go back in there." i look at him with a small smile and say back,"i wont be in there for that long. I'm going to grab a few of the files we only have those ones on paper. And if anyone else gets them..." i pause. I look at him the small smile still on my face and then straighten at the sound of a gun shot. I look down at the stomach if my blue dress. Now stained with blood, i turn . My vision is blurred, but i can tell. It was the man. The one that cut down my back. I start to fall but when i look up i see Marley holding me. My back against his chest. He screams my name then everything goes black. I can only hear gun shots. I feel another pain in my hand and then in my shoulder. I hear multiple guns fire. Then silence. I hear sirens then nothingness again. Numbness starts to take my head. My shoulders. My stomach. My eyes. I can tell i'm not going to wake up from this. I rest and don't try to wake. I don't try to open my eyes. I don't want to struggle. I just lay wherever i am. Whenever i am. I can feel myself getting colder. My head has no thoughts and my heart slows. I open my eyes once to say goodbye to the world. Then...
