(Gore warning)
"Okay, kids! Listen up!" Standing behind the two chaining boys with his arms on his waist, Vincent grins. "We've trained a lot for the past few months. Tonight, we'll put it to the test."
"... are we going out to kill?!" Basically, jumping from a kind of excitement that normal people wouldn't understand at all, Tyron's eyes are basically shining as he slides the sickle under his belt. "When are we going?! When are we going?!"
"Calm down, buddy! Wow!" Even Vincent is getting concerned at this point but really doesn't feel the need to say much about it. The man shakes his head in amusement. "We are leaving at night. So, get ready, alright?"
"Papa Vincent..."
"Yes, Terrence?"
"What about Michael?" sliding his sword into the pack, Terrence looks into the window at the boy playing with a Shuriken that Vincent ended up teaching him despite the danger it possesses, thankfully hasn't hurt himself yet.
"He'll come with. The mission isn't anything hard since it's a first, so he'll be fine. I'm mostly just here to guide and make sure you don't die, so I'll take care of Mikey while you two stay safe yourself, got it?" with a confident grin, Vincent reassures Terrence before smiling at the two proudly. "And judging by how it had been, you two will be fine after the first kill!"
"After the first kill?" Tilting his head to the side, Tyron raises a brow. "Why only after the first kill?"
"Guilt..." Murmuring under his breath, Terrence looks over at his twin with a defeated sigh. "Killing another human being usually results in guilt and is considered a violation of the moral code. The first hit is going to be hard, yet hesitation can get you killed...."
"Well, I didn't understand a thing you just said! Totally confusing! But I guess they taught you to speak like that, so, whatever!" Smiling happily despite having just said he doesn't understand, Vincent just tosses around his dagger nonchalantly. "The last bit is true, though. It might be hard hurting someone at first or ending their life, but after the first kill, everything will be fine! After the first death, it'll be just peachy!"
Sweat dropping at how the other two seem to see life, Terrence shakes his head before deciding to speak up again. "Papa Vincent... do you not value life?"
"Hmm? Of course, I do, Terry!" Looking over with his signature smile, Vincent uncrosses his arms and lets them fall to the side. "But most of the time, a job is a job, and I have to do what I have to do to earn money in this world! But at the same time, just like how you guys are still alive, I do choose whether or not they deserve death. In the case that they really do, I end them without another thought because they deserve it. In the case that they are just there, without any significance, I kill with them as well because it's my job. And in the case, like you guys, that I really can't kill them no matter how hard I try due to something on the emotional level, I don't. You really have to judge that by yourself, Terry. Though even if I say that, when you become a professional assassin, I do wish you would at least take the job first before turning it down."
"I... see... alright then."
Night falls, and with Michael on Vincent's back, the tree leaves the house with capes and hidden armour. Their destination. A cave of mountain bandits that robs and kills everyone they see.
"And they were shivering in fear. It was amazing!"
"They also had tons of gold! We hit the jackpot!"
"You didn't have to kill that chick, though. She would've been fun to play with."
"Oh, please! If we didn't kill her, she would've got us!"
"As if a mere woman can do any harm! Hahahaha-"
