SAKURA PORT, 17:00 HOURS
After we returned to port, I was introduced to a dorm room that I would live in and got the keys from it, I moved critical items there and laid on the bed. "What a long day this was." I sighed, trying to clear my mind. Certainly a rather cramped up day if I do say so myself. First, the siren engagement, then Sakura stalk, followed by a first meeting and grandiose weapons test as a topping.
MEANWHILE, NAGATO'S OFFICE
Nagato and Mustu returned to the office to archive the report Murmansk has given them which was after their initial surprise about how thorough it was. "You can tell he knows how to handle paperwork. Not too long, just on point." said Nagato, to which Mustu agreed. Soon after, they received a knock on the door. "Come in," said Mustu and the 2 carrier sisters appeared: Akagi and Kaga. "We would like to make one selfish request now that the "Test" is done," stated Akagi in a cheerful voice. "What is it, Akagi?" asked Nagato curiously. "We would like Murmansk to accompany us on our attack on Pearl Harbour." "You are departing in 1 hour, correct?" asked Nagato. "That's right, one hour should be more than enough for our ship boy to prepare~" mentioned Akagi. "A help like that could be the difference between winning and losing a war. Can't miss out on that opportunity," added Kaga with a cold tone.
They were right. Murmansk making short work of a 12-ship fleet proved him to be a strategic asset for Sakura Empire. Not only would he be a massive aid in joint operations, but would prove useful in stand-off, behind enemy lines operations as well. "Alright. Mutsu, head into Murmansk's dorm and call him here. I also have an idea of my own." said Nagato thinking about a series of land strikes. Mutsu then headed out for Murmansk.
Nagato's words, however, sparked the interest of the carriers: "What would your idea be, Nagato-san?" asked the carrier sisters in unison. "Murmansk will help you with the attack, but after that, he will perform missions under my direct orders. If his powers are as strong as we saw earlier, he could prove useful in more than one way." answered Nagato. In that, Mutsu just returned with Murmansk.
"Rumour has it you already got a mission for me," were my first words after I hurriedly passed the door of the office. "That is correct. You will be under Akagi's command for this mission. Your objective will be to scout out Pearl Harbour with Ayanami before the attack takes place," ordered Nagato. "Yes Ma'am." I saluted back at Nagato and Mutsu. With briefing done, we headed back to the port to prepare for a long journey. Transit will take 6 days @ 25 knots. With my nuclear reactors, however, I can sustain 32 knots top speed, cutting the journey by a day and a half. However, now is the time for us to meet the squad for the mission.
SAKURA PORT, 17:50 HOURS
After some preparations, I only managed to get 3 Granits loaded but that should be enough for a land strike or two should I receive orders to conduct such. With that, I requested status report. From: Murmansk, K-206
STATUS REPORT
Time and Date: 01 DEC 41, 18:00 Hours1) Weapons Remaining:
Igla: 12 USET-80: 8 TEST-71M: 8 65-76: 4 "Vodopad": 4 MG-74: 4 P-700 Granit: 152) Systems Damage: NONE
Status report indicated that we were ready to set sails. I met with the rest of the squad at sea: Akagi, Kaga, Ayanami, Zuikaku and Shokaku. After the final briefing, we set course for Pearl Harbour. I invited Ayanami for a tour of my submarine. She reluctantly accepted as it would be her first time seeing a submarine inside out. What also helped is that she summoned her rigging. The rest of the surface fleet sailed at 25 knots.
My secret plan was now at works as an early arrival would mean more time to plan the attack, maybe even engagements depriving Azur Lane of even more valuable assets. While Ayanami was impressed by my submarine, I ordered my submarine down to 500 metres of depth. Once I was down, I ordered flank speed of 32 knots.
