(First person POV)
"Ugh. Doesn't he have any pants that aren't tight? This shit's hard to move in!"
I said as I walked down the street. Out of everyone else I didn't expect the one with the long arms to give me some new digs.
Yesterday:
I was eating a box of noodles from some local takeout place with Maine and Pilar. By now Maine introduced me to everyone so I'm very familiar with their names.
"Mrm. Sho. You guys got a place I can sleep in for the night? You know. What with me having nowhere else to go?"
"There's not enough room here. Kiwi?"
"No. Absolutely not. I'm not letting a guy we met a few hours ago into my place."
"Hey cherry boy! If you're okay with sleeping on the couch then you can sleep at my place! I'm sure 'Becca wouldn't mind. Hahaha!"
Pilar said laughing at his own remark. I started to scarf down the rest of the noodles in the box before slamming it down on the table.
"You got yourself a deal!"
Present:
"I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth but these clothes suck!"
I thought to myself before passing by a vendor down at the Bulwark. The whole area was covered in shops and graffiti yet what caught my eye was the black bomber jacket with fluff around the collar as well the matching light black cargo pants next to it on the clothing rack.
"Those would look great with a good shirt."
My eyes glistened at the sight of such nice clothes. I was about to ask the vendor how much this cost but then I realized something. I don't have any money. Those bastards that kidnapped me threw away my clothes and my wallet and since I never had a chip installed until now due to me being organic, I don't have my eddies saved up internally! My mood quickly changed as I walked away defeated. Still wearing these damn clothes. Pants might as well be a dick trap!
I made my way back up the stairs and on to the sidewalk. Sitting down against the railing. Just as I started to rest my head, something strange happened. All of a sudden something ended up covering my face!
"What the!?"
Soon my whole head was covered in something. Like some sort of mask or helmet. I walked towards one of the parked cars and looked at my reflection from the windows. It was a gold skull with red lenses in the eyes.
"Whoa... This could be useful!"
I took it off, making it retract back into my head. It almost felt natural. As I was about to wander off, I started to get a call. I don't have anyone registered in my contacts though so it was listed as Unknown. I cocked my head slightly to the right as I still wasn't used to how taking calls worked.
"Hey cherry boy!"
"The fuck? Pilar! How did you get my contact info!?"
"Kiwi gave it to everyone in the gang!"
"That hairy bitch!"
"Ha! So you like it when a girl's hairless down there! Oi Rebecca! You have a chance with this guy!"
"Bang!"
"Shut the fuck up you gonk!"
"Don't change the subject. Why did you call me in the first place?"
