I was laying down when the doctor walked in and gave me the news I had known was coming. I had less than two months to live. 'Heh two months and Yggdrasil will also die, I guess I'll die the same day my favorite game will.' The doctor said they would keep me here to aid in the dying process, or I could go home and pass with my loved ones nearby. To bad they had all passed away due to over work. I asked of I could stay here and if I could bring my Gaming rig. He had to ask his higher ups but their legal team came to me with a form that generally said that I could do all of that but once I have be declared medically dead, I renounce all claim to the Items I bring to the hospital and they will claim those items. I sighed the paper work with my lawyer present and I had asked my lawyer to donate all my savings and all once I have been declared medically dead after 24 hours I renounce all claims to the properties and all items in those properties. 'I guess Grandma was right, "when you die you'll take nothing with you." The next day the staff had brought my entire set up. From dusk till dawn I had played Yggdrasil with my chosen family, the guild of Ainz Ooal Gown, I still remember when It was named Nine's Own Goal, those were much simpler times. I logged in and chose the very first character I had ever created, I had waited and waited for 10 years for the game to come out. I had preordered my copy when I was just 13
The reason I have 50 more levels than everyone else is simply because I was the first to create a Dragonoid. Thanks to that I had all my stats boosted by 40% and I gained 25% more experience for anything I did. You may call it cheating, but I call it amazing customer support. Lets not forget that there are a lot of Races in Yggdrasil. Each race gets someone with this power too. So I guess it really Isn't cheating just....ehhh I'm getting to much in to the details. Killing area bosses just isn't the same when you can just one shot them, Resource gathering is a bit different since you have to actually explore the maps and hell if you're in a rivals area might as well cause some chaos right. Getting bored of that I flew all the way back to my home base with First born active when I saw an icon appear in the distance. It said the location was around 500 miles away, and seeing I had completed close to all of my quests, I decided to check out this location. Once I had arrived at the location I made a couple of aerial passes to see if there were any players in the area but luckily not a soul in sight. Landing Near the Icons location a prompted showed up
[Would you like to make a pilgrimage to the remains of your father] [Yes - No] The prompted asked me floating in mid air
'My dad? what could he have done in the game? Unless its...' I thought to myself mentally signaling yes
[Pilgrimage to the remains of Bahamut now commencing]
'Well as the best zombie killer said "better nut up or shut up." I thought to myself as the ground underneath me disappeared and I began to fall. As I was falling I could feel something coming out of my back near my shoulder plates, looking behind me I could see actual fucking dragon wings more than four times my size. I knew I was a big guy but to gain an extra 26 feet I mean go big or go home right. Feeling the wind past my wings felt pretty damn great and with my new wings a new UI popped up telling me the altitude I was at, By what it was telling me the ground was less than 1000 feet away and getting closer by the second. Feeling like I had enough fun for the day I opened up my wings around 100 feet from the ground and slowly flouted to the ground. Once I was on the ground another prompt popped up and pointed me in the general direction of the location. The prompt said it was around 1200 feet away and my fly spell wasn't working either, I tried flapping my wings a couple of times and nothing looked like I was using the old mode of transportation... walking. Little over four minutes later and I was on the outskirts of the cemetery. I used Ki Master to detect of any player was near the cemetery, Nothing came back. As I made my way down the cemetery and on the tomb stones were names of players who played as Dragonoids but had deleted their character because either got bored of the game of because they ran out of character slots. The cemetery was at least 1 to 3 miles long and far in the distance a statue stood above all of the graves. Walking through the graves some of the names were familiar to me. Some of them were friends I had made in real life, But thanks to the air quality out side of buildings being quite toxic to the human race they didn't make it past 30 years old. Once I was around a third of the way to the statue, Just the fucking size of the damn
