Me and Lily chatted as we cycled into town.

"So what do you want to buy Charlotte?" I ask Lily.

"I don't know. She's into horses and fashion so I was thinking we could buy something in a clothes shop." Lily says.

I nod; thinking.

"How about we cycle to the saddlery and buy her something there. Maybe some new riding gloves?" I suggest.

"Yeh! That's perfect because Charlotte was moaning about how her riding gloves were falling apart. She's had them years now, but will we get back to school on time. I know you wanted to go to the stables and ride today." Lily says.

"It's fine; I went on a trail ride yesterday so I'm not going to go riding today. I'm just going to go and see Lightning." I say.

"OK, then we have loads of time, but we better not waste any of it so come on!" Lily shouts.

Soon we are pedalling as hard as we can to the saddler. By the time we get there we a glistening with sweat and panting like dogs. For a few minutes we just stand there; exhausted; trying to catch our breath while leaning on the bike's handlebars.

"Are you ready? Let's go in and get my sister the best birthday present ever!" Lily cries.

I nod, still trying to get my breath back. I'm not sure I've ever cycled so fast and for such a long distance in my entire life. Still, I manage to get my breath back and I walk into the saddler after Lily.

I love Starwood Saddlery. It is a little shop but it is filled with horse things. There are walls covered in bridles which are all different sizes, colours and makes. There are horse riding helmets in tall piles on the floor. There is a coat hanger which colourful head collars, ranging from blue to pink, from red to purple. Even outside there are horse jumps standing at around 3 feet tall. For a minute I just stand at the entrance gazing at everything even though I've been here many times. Then I remember what we came here for and follow Lily over to the drawers that contain the riding gloves. Lily is looking at different gloves in detail, reading the labels careful, trying to pick the perfect present for her sister.

"This pair looks nice but then the colour of this pair is very pretty." Lily mumbles. Then she notices I am there and speaks to me, " What do you think Marnie?"

"I think you should go for this pair, no wait a minute! Look  this pair! It's beautiful!" I gasp.

"Yes, but they don't look very strong." Lily points out.

We go on like this for the next 15 minutes until we look in the bottom right hand corner and find the perfect pair.

"Look at this pair!" Lily gaps.

"They are perfect!" I claim.

When we look at the price tag we find out that they are £15.00.

"Not bad considering how beautiful and strong the gloves are. " Lily says.

Lily goes up to the counter while I go outside and up to the field to see the horses who live here. As I walk up the path the horses heads turn to see what the noise is. I love these horses so much because they are so beautiful. In this field there are 3 horses, a piebald, a skewbald and a grey. I smile as I wrap my arms around the piebald's neck and breath in the glorious smell of the horses. At that moment all the stress of yesterday goes away and there is nowhere else I'd rather be.
