Level 2

(Lucy's POV)

As soon as I opened my eyes in this new level, I felt a wave of heat pressing against my skin. The humidity combined with the heat in this new level makes its hard to breath. The dusty smell makes me cough and sneeze several times. I don't think I'm conscious of what's happening right now. I look around and my friends are comforting me and asking me if I need water. I reply with a shake of my head, indicating no and I get up from the damp floor. I analyze my position and look at the long hallway ahead of me. With a low lighting, giving the hallway an even more creepy look than it already has, the hallways are longed with pipes of all kinds. That's probably where the heat came from. My friends and I start walking around, making sure that no one touches the burning pipes. It wasn't the time to get a third degree burn. Each second felt like the heat was becoming heavier. After entering a few empty rooms, I hear I shout from Emmanuel, saying that he found something. We all join him in the room and find metal shelves filled with different things. There's water, a lamp, matches, bags of food, a medical kit, containing different things, such as band-aids and alcohol to disinfect wounds, and finally a journal.

As my friends go through what's left of food and water, I grab the journal and open its rusty pages. I start going though the different pages.

To whoever is reading this, my name is James Bishop, I am twenty-three years old, I think, and I have been in this place for what feels like a decade. I was almost at the end of this maze, before I got teleported back at the start, after entering the wrong exit on the final level. Here are some tips so that you do not end up like me, dead.

-Hurry up in this level, grab everything you find and get out of it, you're being timed. Feel like each seconds, the level gets hotter? It's because it is. As the time goes by, the pipes diffuse more heat. It's currently I would say about 53 degrees right now. Each hour, a degree is added. When you enter the level, the degree is at 24.

-In the last page of this journal, I left you a key. Make sure that you go through the broken window exit. That'll teleport you to The Hub. The Hub is a safe extra level, which contains the door to every level in the backrooms. The key in the last page is the key to enter the level 94, which is one of the safest level in the game, with a fountain of water.

-The only water in this game that's drinkable is Almond water. It heals diseases and helps heal bruises faster than average.

I wish you the best of luck, and hopefully you'll find other wanderers to help you.

DO NOT ACCEPT TEA FROM ANYONE! WHATEVER HAPPENS, DO NOT DRINK THE TEA

-Guys, look what I found, I tell my friends, as I give them the journal.

They all take time to read through the whole page before Valerie speaks up.

-This is amazing.

-Yeah, I guess all we gotta do now is search for a broken window.

We all agree and start walking. Everybody was sweaty from the heat and we all walked faster than before, knowing what could possibly happen if we take too much time. Suddenly I start getting very tired and my breathing gets rough. Emmanuel, standing in front of me notices and takes my hand to help me walk faster. He's so nice to me. Even with his help, I rapidly start getting nauseous and my head is spinning. I don't want to slow us down, so I'll just wait until we get to The Hub. We encountered a few other exits, but we all judged that we should follow what James said.

Out of nowhere, we all start hearing laughters. I look around, trying to figure out where it was coming from, when all of a sudden, I lay my eyes on this demonic smile coming from the darkness. Then to accompany the horrifying smile, two pair of eyes adds to the face.

-Guys what is that? I ask, out of breath.

Emmanuel turns around, so did the others, and he quickly grabs me and starts running, followed by the others.

-Em, what's going on?

-It's an entity, he replies, trying to control his breath to run longer.

I lift my head up and see the creepy smile with the pair of eyes following our every turn. Emmanuel knows I don't run very fast, that's why he picked me up. On Emmanuel's shoulder, my vision starts to get blurry and my bones start to sore. What's happening to me? My head feels like it's going to explode and I keep seeing things that aren't really here. It's probably the heat, right? Finally, I here Valerie yell that the entity stopped following us and Emmanuel drops me to the floor. I couldn't quite see his face expression, but he looked worried when he saw my face.

-Oh my god, Lucy, you're burning with fever.

I could barely hear him. Before I knew it, I closed my eyes just for a second, but I wasn't able to reopen them. All I could hear was my friend's voices, in a blur. I could distinguish Mikey yelling that the broken window was here and Emmanuel throwing my body. Then before it went silent, I heard:

-Good job, you have successfully finished level 2. You are now being teleported to extra level The Hub. No entities are found in this level nor food or water. Best of luck.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Missed me? So as our friends enter The Hub, let's continue our little chat.

Level 94 is known to be the dream level, but not in such a good way. Level 94 is commonly called the King's level. Why? Level 94 is a small town in the style of the 30's. You can find the Almond water fountain, and the floating castle. If you enter the castle you will be led to what seems like an infinite playground, but you need to find a large doorway, which will lead you to the throne room of the Animated King. The King will ask you to join him for dinner, and then test you to became an Animation. There is no way to refuse his offer, and those who dare, will suffer until the end of their pathetic lives. If you succeed the King's test, you will either be sent out of the castle onto the village or to one of the random levels, depending your hostility and respect to him.

During the daytime, the Level is safe and will occasionally play cartoony music. As soon as nighttime appears, the entities will arrive. DO NOT attack the entities, they will put an end to your life before you can even realize it. Run from them and hide until daytime.

This is all the information you'll get for now, sadly. Let's continue this another time. Remember, always watch your back.
