Sonic The Hedgehog never worried. He always kept on going. And going. And going. I mean, it's not like he ever thought that himself, his friends, or his family would get severely injured. It's not like that would ever happen. Right?

Well what if his little brother wasn't acting normal lately? Would he then, worry?

"Good morning, Tails!" Sonic The Hedgehog exclaimed, walking down the steps of his rarely-lived in house.

There sat his little brother, slowly skimming his cereal with his spoon.

"Good 'morn Sonic," Tails The Fox mumbled.

"What's with the long face?" Sonic asked, concerned for the usually-cheery kit sitting in front of him.

"Oh, it's nothing." He groaned.

"It sure doesn't seem like nothing! 'Cmon! Why are you in a mood? You know I hate those!" Sonic replied, awaiting an answer.

"I just.. I.."

"You just what?"

"I.."

Suddenly, the Fox jumped into the cobalt blue Hedgehogs arms, and fat teardrops fell from his eyes.

Sonic was bewildered. He was about to question the sudden embrace, but kept quiet. Sonic wasn't the type who liked mushy stuff. But by the looks of it, his friend really needed it. Instead, the Hedgehog held his brother, and rubbed patterns onto his back.

"Shhh, Tails. It's okay. Just tell me what's wrong."

"I-I've been having *sniff* b-bad dreams lately... T-that you'd hate me *sniff* a-and kick me *sniff* o-out.."

...

"Tails! How long have you been having these dreams?" The Hedgehog was concerned that his little brother was having such bad dreams. But most of all, how long had he been having these dreams?

"A month now.." The Fox sadly replied.

"Why have you never told me!?"

"Because... I want to be like you. You're not afraid of *sniffle* anything! Your Sonic The Hedgehog!"

"Tails.. that doesn't mean you don't tell me you having nightmares! It's okay to be afraid. I know you're still tough!" Sonic had said, trying to cheer up his charge. "But anyways," he continued, "Why would I ever kick you out? Tails, I'll never even DARE to consider kicking you out. You'll always be here with me until otherwise." He finished, still rubbing patterns on the kits back.

"S-Sonic, do you promise?"

"Of course buddy! When have I ever broken one?"

"...Never."

"Exactly! You'll always be right here."
