I pull Cole into a quick hug before pushing him away, causing him to nearly fall on his ass. I let out a chuckle at the death glare he sent my way.
It's about 11am and it's just me and the guys in the kitchen. Since we had a game yesterday we ended up sleeping in a lot which is fine considering our plans are later today. I make my way to the cabinets and start to pull out all the ingredients I might need to make grilled cheese.
Now I'm not the best cook in the world, out of all of us Cole and Nat are the cooks but since Cole's birthday I'm cooking. It's very peaceful this morning, everyone is quietly talking amongst one another, I'm cooking, and the radio is playing some quiet music.
I need more mornings like this.
"I texted the girls to get their asses over by the way." Theo says, walking up to me. I just nod my head still concentrating on the food.
"You ok?"
"Hm? Oh yeah, still a bit asleep I guess." I love my brother but it can get really annoying when he knows if the slightest thing is up to me. But I can't say much since I'm the same with him.
"You sure?"
"Yes theo I'm sure now shove off." I push his shoulder slightly, giving him a smirk so he knows I'm not being an ass. As he walks off someone knocks at the door so instead of sitting down he opens it.
Behind the door reveals two half awake girls, still in their pjs and both holding gift bags.
"Morning, happy birthday cole!" nat speed walks over to where coles sitting at the island giving him a hug.
"Thanks romanoff." he ruffled her hair causing her to slap his hand away.
"Here is your gift, open it now or later, I don't mind." she hands him the gift bag before walking round the island and standing next to me.
My heart does this thing it always does when she's around me, it quickens and skips a few beats. I curse at its stupidness because I feel like a teen girl with a highschool crush. Anytime shes even remotely near me i have the urge to pull her close and kiss the fuck out of her.
It scares me sometimes.
"I will open it later because I'm far too tired to be excited. I think we all are honest." Cole has a point. After the game yesterday we were at five guys for maybe 3 hours then hung out here for an hour after. I think we ended up passing out at about 1am.
"Thank god we are having a movie night thing." Abby grumbles, laying her head on the island.
I put all the grilled cheeses on one big plate and place it in front of everyone, almost instantly everyone digs in and falls into quiet chatter. Nat and theo start digging in the cupboards looking for something sweet most likely.
