Disclaimer: I suck at writing and this is way too dramatic for a comedy anime. I might edit it later. Enjoy as much as humanly possible. (:

Notice: In my AU, Anya is more intelligent. She is still a child, so she still has the EQ of a child, and her literal IQ is that of an unintelligent child (such as equations and literature) but she is extremely smart as in picking up what she's taught, solving problems and thinking deep, mature thoughts. Also, as she gets older, in my AU, her power evolves. In the beginning, she can only hear thoughts, but soon she'll be able to send her own thoughts out (talking through minds), and then she'll be able to influence one's decisions, etc.

A few hours before the father came home from work, a knock, slow but firm, sounded on the door of a completely normal family that had many "normal" secrets. The young eight-year-old daughter of the house was playing in the front room while the mother cleaned the already spotless house.

The mother looked up and made her way to the door, finding a child of about 12, even if they looked to be 10, standing on the doorstep. The child, a little girl, froze when she saw the mother open the door.

"Thorn Princess?" She asked in unbelief. "What are you doing here? Am I at the wrong house or did you get here first?"

The mother smiled. "Oh, Princess? That must be your name. I think you must be mistaken, little girl. I live here with my family. Did you come to visit my daughter? You look a bit old to play with her, but I'll allow it. Come on in, Princess." She ushered the bewildered little girl in. "Or is that not your name? What would it be then?"

"N-Nao." She managed to stutter out, thoroughly confused.

"Nao? What a pretty name. Now," She smiled a little at her small joke, "I can't quite put my finger on it, but you remind me of someone from work. That's silly though. What happens at work stays at work. We are all different people when we come inside the house. We leave work outside the house. You come in, you are not who you are at work, got it?" She asked with a sweet voice and a murderous glare rarely seen by anyone but her victims.

"Y-Yes ma'am." The still confused, but apprehensive girl answered immediately.

She led the little girl into the front room, where the little girl was rushing around, setting up for something. She stopped and the mother gestured to the little girl.

"Nao, this is my precious daughter, Anya. But, you already knew that since you came to see her, of course. I'm busy cleaning up the kitchen so my beloved husband can start making dinner when he gets home, but I'll be watching from the other room, so play nice. If you'd like to talk business, you'll have to wait until I get off my shift at city hall tomorrow, because again, work belongs outside the house. You can stay as long as you'd like, even for dinner, but when Anya goes to bed, I'm afraid we'll have to send you home sweetheart." Yor said slowly, smiling sweetly but the darkness in her eyes making the little girl shiver despite having seen much worse things than an angry housewife.

"Thank you, ma'am..." She said tentatively.

"Mrs. Forger." She smiled again, but it was kindly this time.

She turned to the little girl who was now standing still, staring at the both of them, clutching Chimera in her hands. "What are you doing, darling?"

Anya nodded at the other little girl, who was obviously a few years older. "I was getting ready to play with my new friend." She bowed at the girl. "It's nice to meet you, Nao-san." She straightened and grinned widely and spoke excitedly. "What do you want to play first?"
