Disclaimer: I suck at writing and this is way too dramatic for a comedy anime. I might edit it later. Enjoy as much as humanly possible. (:

Notice: In my AU, Anya is more intelligent. She is still a child, so she still has the EQ of a child, and her literal IQ is that of an unintelligent child (such as equations and literature) but she is extremely smart as in picking up what she's taught, solving problems and thinking deep, mature thoughts. Also, as she gets older, in my AU, her power evolves. In the beginning, she can only hear thoughts, but soon she'll be able to send her own thoughts out (talking through minds), and then she'll be able to influence one's decisions, etc.

Yor sat in silence, stunned and horrified.

"A-Anya knew... the code to a bomb large enough to be a national level threat... and took down a trained spy?"

"It was a surprise attack from behind, but she knew how to handle a stun gun. I have hidden everything I could from the organization, but this is serious. I have been seeing links to and glimpses of her for years, Yor. I just never thought too much about it because she's our daughter. But we have an agreement, and Anya needs to be kept safe for at least 4 more years. But this... maybe she needs to be involved in the agreement."

Yor sat there in silence contemplating everything. Finally, she spoke. "We should hear her side. Why she knows what she knows, what exactly she knows, and what her intentions are. If she is dangerous, we should... we should take action. If she isn't, and it's a misunderstanding, we will all be one big happy family after all."

Her voice shook and she was obviously having trouble with this situation.

Loid walked over, sat down, and put his arms around her shoulders, pulling her into him.

"It probably is a misunderstanding. Both of us have pasts and secrets that influence us. Maybe who she was before she was our daughter was not normal. Neither of us are very normal. But she is our daughter now, and she always will be no matter who she is, where she came from, or what she can do." The words were meant to comfort Yor, and they did, gazing into each others' eyes in hope, the spell only breaking when they heard a noise from behind them.

It was a sad, half-sobbing noise that was more of a squeak than anything. They both jumped and looked behind them, eyes widening in unison when they saw Anya, clad in her pajamas, Chimera on the floor as if she dropped him, tears streaking down her face.

"Anya...?" Yor asked shakily.

Anya's bottom lip trembled. Suddenly, she picked up Chimera and ran down the hall to her room, the door slamming shut behind her.

Both parents rushed after her, noticing she didn't lock the door, as if she knew there would be no point to that. They slowly opened the door and saw Anya was in bed, face in the pillow, crying harder than they had ever seen.

They walked over, Loid kneeling right next to where Anya was on the bed, Yor sitting on the bed. They sat there in silence.

Anya suddenly sat up, still crying, and covered her eyes with her hands, big, fat tears falling through them.

"Y-you reall-lly won-n't le-at go of-f An-nya n-no m-matter-r what-t she d-does-s?" She asks, crying and shaking.

Yor tears up as well. "Oh, Anya. You're our daughter. Nothing you could've done would be worse than what we have, and we will always love you."

Anya trembled harder, voice still cracking and stunning over her words. (She is stuttering, but putting them in is hard, so pretend they're there.) "Even if Anya is a monster?"
