Scrubbing Out the Stains

Chapter 5

Yellow gloves struggled to attach the component in with the PC. Non-existent sweat had Brim feeling uncomfortably clammy.

Brim had only watched and observed what people had done to build a PC, never hearing an explanation and going in very nearly blind. He should have watched those MultiTube videos first, but his pride gripped him to a deadlock.

They let out a sigh and dropped the components. Flopping onto the floor(?) of the Void, Brim shucks his rubber gloves near his bean bag.

He had stolen those yellow gloves somewhere in the garbage dump in a random AU. I mean, he was dressed like a janitor for fuck's sake. Why not sell the image fully with it? Plus, he didn't want to accidentally touch anything with his bare hands after wading through the garbage dump to even get those gloves.

Anyhow, the incomplete PC sat in front of Brim like a sad imitation of the ones they saw. They didn't even know if they put in the components correctly. Very sad, they don't want to see this abomination anymore.

Summoning a Gaster Blaster, they launch a blinding attack that nearly spooks Brim himself. Oops, well it was his first time dealing with a Gaster Blaster. Looking closer, it was pretty cute from the small little hat it had on. They don't even know how they got the hat. Did they also steal it?

Well what Brim was guaranteed to steal is going to be a gaming laptop. Screw PCs, he'll take care of that later when he gets a better understanding of how things work.

Dismissing his Gaster Blaster, Brim opens up a small portal to the Omega Timeline and spots an electronics shop. 

"GAMING LAPTOP FOR $100".

Of course, Brim isn't going to cough up money that he doesn't have. Plus, they think they still have trauma from the last time they talked to another living being. But he has to move on from that, stealing a $100 laptop will soothe his worries.

Opening up a small portal in the presumably back of the shop they see boxes of these supposed "gaming laptops". Brim reaches a hand out and yanks one in.

Stealing done, pretty simple, now time to figure out how to set it up.

Man, this cube game is fun. Brim had built a house of pure diamond and caused destruction to a nearby village. After trying out survival mode, it didn't really hit his funny bone as it did creative mode. Now Brim was on his journey of understanding redstone.

Though frustrating, Brim did actually go onto MultiTube this time instead of going in blind. Though the rules of redstone were complicated at first, after studying multiple videos, he was able to build his own opening and closing door with redstone! Without following any tutorials!!

Unfortunately, his gaming laptop was burning his poor fingers. Well, he was a skeleton so temperature shouldn't have any effect on him, but the sheer heat from the keyboard was a bit unnerving so Brim stopped.

Shutting the laptop closed, they stretched their nonexistent muscles with bones cracking back into place.

Maybe they shouldn't use the laptop that much, their body was kind of aching from being in the same position for a while.

Welp, time to do his job. Picking up his yellow gloves, Brim opened up a portal to the next AU he planned to compress.

Okay, another bad decision. He's in Snowdin right now. In this place he is in danger of being discovered by the Sans of this AU, and he didn't want to be caught and be forced to explain what he does for a living. But hey, sightseeing!
