"Really, Malora? I should be asking you the same thing."

Malora frowned at that. "I don't think you should be here. Besides, my things are still here, so I have the right to be here."

A vision in navy blue leather catsuit, hair braided in a single plait, and high heeled leather ankle-boots, Meredith looked very much class and dangerous. She sat on one of the white leather chairs, and crossed her legs. Malora couldn't help but feel that something else was going on here. It almost felt like a game of cat and mouse, but she was yet to determine who had the upper hand just yet.

"I guess you're right." Meredith tapped her chin. "But if you do recall the last time I was here, I told you Titan was merely on a loan to you for the next forty seven days. Yet, I discovered that you have begun to weave your feminine wiles around him. You're planning to take him away from me, aren't you?"

Malora remained silent. She couldn't say anything just yet; at least not until she was able to flesh out the reason for this woman's visit. It was glaring that Meredith wasn't someone to be trifled with after what happened a year ago. She'd been a fool to take the money from her when Titan still laid on the hospital bed, but Malora had sensed the power this woman wielded. It was like playing with a cobra snake: you never knew when it would strike.

"I expect you to answer every of my questions."

"What do you want me to say, Meredith?"

Her irises became a darker shade of green that it was almost dark. "I want you to say that you would end this nonsense right now. Since I gave you money the last time we found ourselves in a situation like this and you betrayed me, I can't take your promises about leaving forever again. So, I refuse to give you any money. Walk away from Titan, Malora."

"Or what?" She challenged with a newly found confidence that astounded her.

Meredith clenched her fist. Then, she loosened her whole muscle and let out a short, mirthless laugh. "You don't want to find out, I assure you."

Malora folded her arms across her chest. "I am tired of hearing you tell me what to do, Meredith. Have you ever asked yourself the reason why Titan keeps coming back to me? Or taking other women to his bed even before he met me?"

"You're about to tell me, right?" She began to examine her acrylic nails with a bored expression on her face. "Go ahead, then."

"He must sense that you're not right in the head." Malora hid her satisfaction at Meredith's flinch. "Who would stay with a woman who's ready to go any length just to keep a man in her life? You see, what you do not understand is that men will not settle for less when they have the best. Men wouldn't stay with someone they do not love even if she's richer than Midas, and even more beautiful than Ms. World. Money can't buy a man's love."

"I'd thread carefully from here on, if I were you, Malora."

Malora rolled her eyes. "You're beginning to sound like a broken record. Veild threats, back-handed compliments, pissing contests, and forced power...you're like a fodder for every mediocre villian in a B-rated movie, Meredith Grey. You should just leave now, and I'll pretend we never had this conversation. Titan is mine until I say otherwise, and even if I wanted to let him go before, you've made me change my mind."

Meredith sat in silence for a few minutes, eyes flashing between fury and murderous glints. It actually scared Malora, but she kept her back straight. One didn't show weakness around people like this woman or she'll feast on it like a vulture on carcass; pecking and tearing until there was nothing left but bones and waste. What ever did Titan see in this psychopath to be engaged to her?

A smirk curled Meredith's mouth as she uncrossed her legs, and stood up. She didn't move from her place before the seat she just vacated, yet Malora felt the power emanating from her. It was like she'd been holding back all this while, but was done playing games.
