*Ethan's POV*

After leaving the barbecue, we all got home in complete silence. I could feel the tension in the car, but I refused to acknowledge it. When we were all sitting in the living room however, I could feel everyone's gaze on me, and looking up, they were all looking at me curiously.

"Spill it," my sister Mel demanded and I gave her a confused look.

"Spill what?" I asked. I looked at my parents for help but they just shrugged.

Just great! When the curious mind of Mel -the baby of the family- started working, there was no stopping her and everyone knew.

"Ellie," my dad said and for once I realized that I had been caught. How was I going to escape this?

"What's wrong with Ellie?" I asked feigning innocence.

"Oh! Ellie's pregnant, and we all know that, but, I've watched you for the entire night. You've been looking at Ellie adorably. Is there something you want to tell us?"

I looked at my dad, and by the look on his face, I knew that I couldn't lie even if I wanted to. My parents had always taught me right from wrong and as the second child in the family, I had to learn and experience things the hard way because of my inquisitive mind. I looked at him and said, "The baby's mine."

"I knew it!" Mel jumped out of her seat and ran to hug me. "I'm gonna be an aunt."

My mom was also happy. She looked at me and smiled. I wish it were as simple as they thought. I only got to know she was pregnant today. There wasn't much that I could say to them on the matter, so I just sat back, waiting for someone to shout at me, saying how careless and stupid I was. However, no one said anything and when I looked at them, they were all smiling.

"Why didn't you tell us?" Erick asked.

"Its the first time I'm seeing her after two months and I had no idea that she's been pregnant for all these months." They all look at me in pity. Yes, I feel pity for myself as well.

"That baby is my first grandchild and I'll be damned if we didn't get a chance to be in his life. What are you going to do?" My mom asked.

"I want my little boy more than you'll ever imagine. I know I haven't known of his existence before today, but I want to be in his life. I got her pregnant and It's my responsibility to take care of her and the baby," I say feeling a wave of confidence and persistence wash over me.

"Well then, you need to speak to her about this," said my dad, and I couldn't agree more.
