[Zee's POV]
Same Friday as the past few chapters
BABS WENT TO BANDAGE DIANA'S SPRAINED ANKLE, AND JESS WAS PUTTING DIANA'S backpack on her shoulders. Karen, Kara and I lifted Diana and helped her to her room, where she sat on her bed.
It was already evening, 7 p.m., and the air had taken on a chill. To my surprise, Kara excused herself from going to Lazarus Pit just to stay in school to take care of Diana. I mean, I've seen her for so long as a rebel, never have I ever expected her to be so kind enough to make this decision for one of her friends.
When I took a peek at Diana's room, I was awed by how pristine and tidy it was. No dust balls, roaches, malodorous odour- it smelled of jasmine instead. Everything was in piles where they were supposed to be as if it were magic. Even better than my room.
I sat on the floor in front of her bed. So did Jess, Babs, Kara and Karen.
Diana looked at us, saying, "Well, what do you need?" in a sweet voice that awed us.
"Well, D, since we're all friends now, would you like to have a girls' night in with us?" Kara asked informally. I guess Diana's new nickname now was just the letter 'D'.
[Diana's POV]
I was stunned beyond compare. Never had I ever thought that I would be asked this question. It seemed like far beyond a miracle.
So I tried my very best to smile at the 5 girls before me, agreeing to Kara's idea.

[Babs' POV]
I was exuberant. As the sun began to set beyond the horizon, I was discussing what to do first with Zee, Jess, Diana, Kara and Karen.
"Since Diana's ankle is injured now, we need to do something non-physical, or just involves the 5 of us excluding Diana," I said.
"How about Truth or Dare," Kara suggested.
Diana nodded instantly, and we did too.
So Zee, Jess, Kara, Karen and I sat side by side, Diana sitting on her bed with her injured ankle.
"Karen, do you pick truth or dare?" I asked Karen, a little hyped about what she would reply.
"Um, um, um, I choose... dare?" she said meekly.
"Well then, I dare you to... Dance like a bee!" I said.
As Karen had no choice but to follow my dare, we all began to laugh, all except Diana. Strange---something's off, my brain told me. Out of concern, I asked her, "You okay, D?"
She kept quiet. I repeated my question.
"Babs... " she came close to whisper something to me, a frown etched on her face. Listening to it, every word shocked me further and further beyond compare. She was hit in the face with a ball and her teammates called her a disappointment? That's ridiculously insane! And she had to transfer to this school because of her parents!
At the end of her speech I gasped, fuming mad. So mad I could just explode like a grenade when the explosion time was set off, and reached 00:00. Boom!
"Diana, Babs, what's wrong?" Zee asked, looking at the both of us.
"The 4 of you... " she came close to whisper something to them, the same frown etched on her face. Listening to it, I could tell that every word shocked them further and further beyond compare [like 1 unit to 2 units and to 4 units to 16 units, squaring every time], and they were thinking the same thing as me. Diana was hit in the face with a ball and her teammates called her a disappointment? That's ridiculously insane! And she had to transfer to this school because of her parents!
At the end of it, Karen frowned, Jess covered her mouth with her hands, Zee froze and paled visibly, and Kara [to my surprise], put her hands on Diana's shoulders and, with a sweet grin on her face, consoled her, "D... I had to transfer from Smallville High to Metropolis High too, just like you. Then I was lonely, unable to make new friends here and get used to the new environment, but eventually, I got used to it and made friends. That's why they're here with me now. You're not in this alone. The world is out there for you to explore; it just depends on whether you have the courage to. Zee, Babs, Karen, Jess and I believe you'll be able to make new friends beyond the 4 of us and adapt to this new environment, which you'd slowly get used to. It's only a matter of time until you get used to it. You can do it, Diana! We believe in you!" I was shocked again. I mean, I've seen her so far as one of those tough-nut people-- a little insensitive, rebellious, solely caring about herself. Never have I ever expected her to be so thoughtful enough to say this to Diana, who genuinely needed it. Most startling finding---ever!
Slowly but surely, a smile crept up Diana's face, and she looked up at us, her sky-blue eyes shimmering with the happiness we'd never seen from her before so far.
"Thank you," and she held Kara's hands tightly.

[Kara's POV]
As the moon hung in the vast night sky, we decided to sleep together. When I entered Diana's room in my pyjamas together with Zee, Jess, Babs and Karen, we saw Diana in this white long dress with her hair let down. And yet again, I--no--we was starstruck. She had already helped us lay down our futons. I couldn't help but grin.
Before we went to bed, Diana smiled once again, saying, "Goodnight, friends," as she turned the lights off.
[Diana's POV]
I was touched. Touched by what lovely friends I had made today, touched by what Kara had said to me earlier.
I couldn't sleep.
In the dark, I felt a smile creep across my face like a vine, as I uttered, "May the 6 of us continue to be friends,", and I went to sleep.
