P.S Diana's ankle has already healed.

1 Week after they met. Friday, 5.30 p.m.

[Babs' POV]

"SIMON SAYS... RUN 2 LAPS AROUND THE FIELD!" KARA, THE SIMON, ORDERED everyone. Luckily for me, I was no longer in the game, not needing to run 1.5km around the field. And there was Diana Prince, but not as she usually was, who had opted to sit out of the game, apparently having a frown on her face. I thought, strange, Diana is usually so active during PE, cheerful during lessons and with us, why has she been acting up these two days? When the teacher asked questions during English, Demi Dawkins (a student) answered them first, and that astonished me since Diana would usually actively answer questions. Now, she would be keeping her distance from anyone and everyone, even Zee, Kara, Karen, Jess and me!

"D, you okay?" I looked at Diana, who sighed. When she looked me in the eye, it seemed to me that her sky-blue eyes, golden headband and star earrings had lost their twinkle, as if they were plagued with misery and ridden them of all their shine--their happiness.

"Yes," she said abruptly, and I instantly knew she was trying to mask her feelings from me. I said nothing; for I knew it would be pointless to convince the sad girl not to be sad.

P.E went by fast, and as we walked down the corridor to the cafeteria, Zee, Jess, Karen, Kara and I were discussing something softly so Diana wouldn't hear us.

"Guys, Diana's been acting really off these 2 days. I saw her today at 8 a.m. while she was frowning at something on her phone, and when I asked her about it, she hid her phone behind her back and ran off without even a word. Strange, when would cheerful and radiant Diana Prince suddenly do this to us? I don't believe she's changed so much into the kind of person that doesn't respond to people," Zee said.

"Exactly, she's been so quiet recently. This morning when I went into her room to ask her something she looked sad, was whimpering and kept her distance from me, saying, "I need to be alone for a while, Kara Danvers. Thank you if you can let me,". The sudden keeping-distance-and-silence-thingy is too surprising to be even the least believable to me, or us 5. What has happened over the past two days? I'd like to know so we could help her," Kara said.

"I'm not sure about it, Kara, but one thing's for sure: we need to get to the bottom of it. She can't stay like this forever. It's like we're losing our once cheerful Diana, and if we don't do anything, we'll lose her forever!" Karen said, stressing on 'if we don't do anything we'll lose her forever'.

Just then, Diana turned back to look at us like she was concerned about us, and we pretended that none of us was talking about her. She turned her head back and continued walking forward so we continued our discussion, yet softer than usual, lest Diana thought, again, we were gossiping about her.

"For the past two nights, I think I heard her weeping about something when I went to make myself a cup of hot chocolate at 4 a.m. in her room (she already let me borrow her machine), as a routine, and Diana was wrapped in a blanket like a mole. When Diana removed the blanket from her head, she looked a little sleep-deprived and her eyes were slightly red though, and when I asked her yesterday she refused to spill anything other than the fact that something was bothering her very much, and that no one could help her. Like, really? We can help her, can't we? Any other information about the moodiness was not leaked. I thought the part about 'no one could help her' was a lie. When did bubbly Diana start to change her personality to one like this?" I said like a news reporter reporting the case to be broadcasted on TV.

"Guys, maybe Diana's going through a phase, as normal teens would. We should learn to accept it and give her what she needs. Who knows, she might just return to her usual cheerful self after the phase," Jess said. We nodded, but in all our minds, we were thinking: Plan A, watch her for the whole day and see if anything is way more different. If yes, plan B had to be carried out: try to dig into Diana's mind, no matter what it takes.
