Under the moonlight

Hi, lets begin with the chapter.

"No.. no need of it I am fine, thankyou for your concern" Vyom said nervously as he was shocked listening Anubhav's statement.

"I am now a member of the Army, I must know learn to live in unsuitable situations too. Besides, I'll repair the everything myself it'll just take a few days"

"No Vyom, I know now you are an officer but you dont need to worry about that. I'll call a boy who would get the work done.. Till then Karishma and I would love to have you here"

Karishma who was just standing there like a statue cupping her own cheeks with her palms just looked at Vyom and then at Anubhav..

Hearing her name from Anubhav's mouth she regained her senses and just hummed softly.

"But how can I.. I mean um" Vyom exclaimed uncomfortably.

"Chill, I am not asking you to live in our bedrooms.. We have a room in the upper storey which is quite secluded from the rest of the house.. It has its own entry and exit gate connected to a stairs at the back of the house.. so you wont be bothered by us even more.. Well there is a door which links that room to the rest of the house, so in case you want to connect with us just open that door and come in. Otherwise keep it closed.." Anubhav explained.

"Also I'm asking you to stay till I get the few repairs done, which would take just a few days thats it" He said patting his shoulder lightly.

"Umm.. I genuinely thank you for this gesture but..."

"I insist.." Anubhav spoke again.

"Okay fine if u say so.." Vyom agreed and looked towards Karishma who was still in the same posture.
It could be seen from her face that she was clearly NOT overjoyed at having Vyom there.

Vyom went back to his quarter to pick up a bag.

Meanwhile Karishma just looked at Anubhav tiringly and said

"What was the need to do all this! I mean he can live peacefully in his own house too.. We cant open a guest house for every one passing by"

"Karishma calm down, I've just asked him to stay for a few days and that too in the other room.. You wont even be bothered by his presence, I'm sure he would keep the 'main' door closed."

"But.. bhaiya!!"

"Karishma, it's just a matter of 2-3 days.. and by this you can repay him the favor"

"what favor?"

"Vyom saved you"

"Stop making a big deal out of it. He just did what was necessary okay!! Stop acting as if he's a hero.. I can't keep bowing to someone again and again just because they helped me once" Karishma almost yelled.

"You and your ego!"

"Yes it is my ego!! Okay fine if u have asked him to stay here. But this stay shouldn't exceed more than 2 days!"

Anubhav just turned away his gaze and said nothing. He was dissapointed.

Karishma felt bad the way she reacted with her brother. However not thinking much about it she went back to her room, while the injuries ached the way she moved fastly.. But Karishma's anger was really a 'thing'!

She changed into a loose shirt and baggy jeans, and tried to tie up her hair but all in vain as she couldnt raise her hand much due to the bruise.

She took out her phone and called Haseena.

'What happened Karishma?'

'Come and pick me! I wanna meet you'

'But I'm on my way to thana'

'then I'll go to your thana with you.. It'll help to train me as a police officer too'

'what's the matter?'

'Bhaiya asked Vyom to stay in the room upstairs. Because his house had some leaking problems'

'So what?'

'What do you mean by so what.. I do not want him to stay with us'

'As far as I know Karishma the room upstairs is secluded from the rest of the house, so he won't bother you much'

'Why are all of you so adamant'

'Why dont you want to stay with him?'

'I dont know Haseena. I just dont like many people invading my space'

'It isn't like that Karishma.. He wont invade your space'

'I don't know.. what if he does'

'You are so skeptic of everyone at the first place? Why can't you trust'

'I dont want to trust anyone and you know this..'

'Okay fine. Karishma I'll just be there...'

'No leave.. I dont wanna hang out anymore'

'So now you're angry?'

'What else?'

'Come on Karishma!'

'Cut the call!!'

Before Haseena could say anything Karishma herself cut the call..

"God this girl!" Haseena mumbled to herself.

Meanwhile Karishma heard a knock on her door. She opened it only to see Anubhav standing there with a cup of coffee in his hand.

"Behna.."

"hmm?" Karishma said as she placed herself on the bed.

"Here's your coffee.. Listen I'm sorry okay but I'll make sure that vyom's slightest presence also wont affect you.. fine?"

"Hmm okay" she said hugging him.

"Now drink your coffee.. Vyom might be here any second so I'll be there to escort him and then I'll drop you off to Haseena ji's thana"

"Okay, be quick then" she kissed his cheek.

"Why do you always get eager to visit her thana?"

"Because she is the only person, besides you, in this world you understands me and loves me"

Anubhav just smiled. And went out towards the living room.

Karishma sighed and sipped her coffee, and texted a 'heart' emoji to Haseena indicating a sorry!

Haseena on the other hand, smiled warmly at recieving her text.
