"Who"? Karishma asked.
"It's a surprise." Vyom winked at her.
"Seriously? No Vyom you can't do this" Karishma whined.
"Acha baba fine. So, I told Maa about you, and this weekend I had planned to go back to Lucknow and meet her since I'm missing her terribly. But she insisted on coming to Delhi." Vyom said. Karishma was still contemplating his words.
"She wanted to see where I live, what I eat, am I keeping my room clean or not etc etc" Vyom said, turning back to the wet dishes in kitchen. "And most importantly, meet YOU"
Karishma was still unable to respond.
She could feel a tinge of nervousness in her stomach.
"But Vyom it's so early..." before she could complete her sentence, Vyom spoke with a childlike excitement in his eyes
"You will love her Karishma!"
Karishma nodded, and blinked. They spent about an hour together and Karishma went back to her home.
The next morning, Karishma woke up at the sound of her mobile's ringtone.
'Haseena❤' The screen flashed with this name.
"Haan Haseena bataiye" Karishma said in a rather sleepy voice.
"Karishma humari jeep beech raste me kharab ho gayi, Anubhav bhi call nahi utha rahe. Hum aapke ghar ke paas hi hai, please hume airport tak drop kar dijiye ek bohot important case hai"
"Ji aap hume 10 min dijiye, hum abhi aate" karishma said. She kept back the phone, and yawned, stretching out her arms and legs.
Just as she promised, Karishma reached at Haseena's location within 10 minutes. Haseena, who was already stressed about her jeep, let out a chuckle upon seeing Karishma's disheveled state.
"kaa?" Karishma asked
"Aise chalengi aap airport"
"Ama to ab subah subah 16 shringar karke aaye kaa aapke liye?"
"Acha maate sorry" Haseena said and sat in Karishma's car. "Ab chaliye bhi hume late ho raha hai" she demanded.
Karishma started the engine and they drove off to the airport.
Within 15 minutes they reached the destination. Before joining the rest of her team, Haseena bought a chips and cold drink bottle to pamper Karishma.
Karishma on the other hand, was just looking around, waiting for Haseena to finish the task so that she can drop her back to thana.
She opened the cap of the cold drink bottle, but it accidentally fell down. The minute Karishma bent to pick the cap up, a boy snatched her phone and ran away.
"Ayeee rukoo" Karishma yelled.
Haseena and the police on airport got alerted and began chasing him. Another woman came out and yelled at the thief too, for snatching her purse.
It was a chaos moment for everyone on the airport.
Karishma too, wasn't of the kind to standstill, so she began chasing the boy as well, holding the cold drink bottle in one hand.
Amidst the chaos, a little girl suddenly came infront of her and she tripped, the cold drink splashing on a woman standing nearby.
Karishma froze for a second. "Sorry aunty" she said and was about to chase the man again but that aunty got no chill.
