Hey all, I just wanted to tell you guys that since the past few days I have been dealing with some things in my personal life which is why I didnt have the time and energy to write any new part, and was not even active on wattpad. I  would expect you all to understand and cooperate by giving the same amount of love that you all do. As of now, I feel the track is lagging a little so I'll hurry up a little.

Karishma's pov.

I was not okay after I had that nightmare again. I was reminded of my father's death. Baba's death had already ruined everything for me, I got a major asthma attack after listening to the news of his demise. When I woke up, I found myself laying in bhaiya's lap. Anubhav bhaiya was caressing my hair softly, marks of dried tears were visible on his cheeks. My eyes scanned the room we were sitting in and it was filled with relatives, whose existence I didn't appreciate much. They seemed to be mourning, some however were still gossiping in a hushed voice. Neighbors had gathered in our garden too and there were baba's army colleagues present too. It was then when my gaze fell upon the person that lay covered in a white sheet infront of me. My baba.

He had cotton balls filled up in his nostrils and ears as he lay asleep peacefully, never waking up again. "Baba", I shook him, trying to wake him up. But he didn't open his eyes. I knew the horrible reality but my heart refused to accept that he was dead, no he was just sleeping and would wake up once he hears his Kashi's voice.  I shook him again and again, furious why wasnt he waking up. "Bhaiya dekho, baba uth nahi rahe" I complained. Fresh tears ran out of bhaiya's eyes. I sensed a few relatives coming close and hugging me from behind. They tried to calm me down but second by second my rage, my discomfort and my fear was rising.

They will take away my baba from me, no I cant let that happen. He is just asleep, he will wake up for his Kashi. Baba wont leave me alone, baba wont leave us alone. He promised he would come back.

Two arms pulled me away from him as a group of army men came and covered his body with the national flag. They performed the military funeral and cried out loud a war cry, fired a shot from their guns to pay respect to my father and then proceeded to give the national flag he was draped in to Anubhav Bhaiya.

After Baba's funeral took place, I was sitting in my room alone, in a corner still not able to process anything. Few of the relatives were still there. I felt I saw someone through my window, someone really similar. The thought of that person's shadow made a shiver run down my spine. "How can this be possible" I thought as my heart continued to beat erratically spotting the person hiding sneakily in the garden.

"Kashiiiiii" bhaiya yelled my name from the living room below. He broke my chain of thoughts. I wiped my tears and moved out

"WHAT" I snapped

"Bring me a glass of water and my charger" he spoke with a cheesy smile on his face knowingly just to annoy me.

Ugh, I lazily moved out of my bed, tying my hair in a bun. Handing him the charger I yelled straight in his ears to go get water himself and ran towards the terrace. I dialed Vyom's number but he didnt pick up. I tried Santu's number too but she didnt pick up either.

But I wanted to meet him anyhow so I decided to go to his house and meet him there only. To my dismay, there was a lock on the door. I opened my whatsapp to check if Vyom had texted me something but there was no text from him. Strange, from the past few days Vyom and I were sharing every little detail of our lives with each other so he should have probably told me where he was going.

I waited for him, trying to call him a number of times but all in vain. Two hours had already passed by and there was still no text from his side.

It was finally around 8 pm that his message popped on my screen, "hey, I'll see you in an hour I have to tell you something."

I wondered what he was upto.

Around half an hour later, while I was watching a murder series on Netflix, my phone rang and it was Vyom.

"Come downstairs I need to talk to you, please come fast" I could sense the urgency in his text. Still dressed in my pyjama and bhaiya's oversized tshirt I ran downstairs to find Vyom.

I waved at him but he hurriedly held my hand and made me sit inside his car and started on the engine.

"Vyom wh-"

"Shhh.. I'm driving off to a quiet place where we can spend some time"

He stopped the car near the famous Yamuna Ghat and opened the door for me to come out of the car.

We sat on the ground beneath a tree and had the perfect view of river infront of us. The rivulets of water clearly reflecting the sky and the ever-so-beautiful-moon. We sat as there was serenity all around us.

"Karishma, I received a letter from the Indian Military Academy. I went to the headquarters today, they told me I have to go to the Military Academy in Dehradun. Karishma, I will be leaving on Sunday which is day after tomorrow."

My face fell, he was also leaving me.

"But... Karishma Singh, before going anywhere I want some answers from you"

"What" I looked at him......

Thats it for today guys, I had thought something else of this story but I couldnt turn it up that way, sorry. Anyway, enjoy, more parts coming soon your way.
