Ash, Dawn and Brock raced down the path, towards the Pokémon Centre. If only, the news reporter had warned them about the storm... As the winds picked up and the lightning striked, our heroes tried their best covering their heads with their jackets and bags - whatever they could get a hold on.
Reaching the Pokémon Centre, they noticed how packed it was. With many trainers doing the same, keeping shelter from the storm."Why does the weather man, get the broadcast wrong..." Dawn signed as she tried to dry her hair.
"Yeah... now we're stuck in the middle of no where..." Ash said as he sat down nearby the entrance. While Piplup and Pikachu shaked wildly to get dry. Brock looked out the window and crossed his arms.
"This storm won't die down. We have to stay here tonight."
Glancing around, Ash locked eyes with many trainers. They all looked tired and cold. On the other end of the room, he saw Nurse Joy rushing around handing blankets to trainers while Chansey looks after the weak and cold Pokémon.
"Sure. But where do we sleep?" Ash asked in a whisper making sure that no one hears. Just then Nurse Joy appears by their side.
"Oh, poor dears. You have been caught in that storm..."
"Oh it's nothing bad." Dawn smiled slightly, when all of a sudden she begins to sneeze.
"Don't be silly." Nurse Joy handed a warm blanket to her and handed two more to Brock and Ash.
"Thank you, Nurse Joy." Ash smiled as he quickly wrapped himself and Pikachu into the warmth. Pikachu snugged tightly to Ash and the blanket, while Ash tried to held back a sneeze. Brock however was down on the his knee, holding onto Nurse Joy's hand.
"My sweet Joy." He began as everyone watched the scene before them. "Nothing can keep me warm -" He starts to sneeze as he released her hand and wiped his eyes and nose. "Sorry." He takes her hand again, but this time her hand felt rough. He looked down at his height and saw a purple frog. It started to croak as the frog moved it's hand out of Brock's and punched him in the gut.
Falling, Brock mumbles as his trusting sidekick dragged him away from on lookers. "Just my luck... the wrong hand..."
Everyone chuckled and laughed, while Dawn and Ash both signed and gave Joy a apologetic smile. That night: Ash, Dawn and Brock all spent the night in the Pokémon Centre. While the storm outside got worse, everyone - people and Pokémon cuddled together, trying to keep warm from the cold outside. A big round fireplace in the middle of the room was lit, making the room in a orange glow with many shadows flicker across the walls.
The morning sun, shinned through the arched windows and into the Centre. Waking up, Ash and his friends all noticed that many trainers had gone. As everyone looked out through the window, they was greeted with a new day.
"Hey, the storm is gone." Dawn smiled happily as the boys nod in reply.
"Yeah."
As they got up and got ready to leave a group of trainers, young childern and adults all stood by a wall near the counter.
"What's going on there?" Ash yawned as he made his way towards the crowd. Dawn and Brock followed suit after as they hear everyone talking to one another excitedly. "Hey, what's up?" Ash asked as people turn to leave.
"The Pokémon Festival is about to start!" A boy smiled from ear to ear with glee.
"The Pokémon... Festival...?" Ash repeated in confussion. "What's that?" A trainer shakes his head in wonder.
"I can't believe that you don't know." The trainer said as he glances back up at a poster. "Every year - in Blossom Bloom City - they hold a festival to celebrate Pokémon." The little boy nods.
"There's a lot of things to do! Battle, cosplay, baking and rides!"
"There's also a live performance." The trainer smiled. "By the hero herself."
"A hero?" Ash glances up at the poster in wonder. Dawn and Brock both smiled, chatting with the trainer while Ash and Pikachu gets lost in the poster.
The poster stood tall and almost filled the whole wall. In the middle was an outline of a trainer. He couldn't make her out, but could see that she had a gentle sweet look to her. Looked almost about his age or a bit younger. At the top of the poster was more outlines of Pokémon. Surrounding her, like stars. And at the bottom was words in big bold font that read;Come and join the Pokémon Festival!
Where dreams come true and anything is possible"Sounds interesting, let's go!" Dawn smiled just as the trainer and the boy leaves. Ash was in a world of his own as he just stared at the poster in wonder. "Hey! Earth to Ash!" Blinking, he looks at Dawn shocked.
"Sorry?"
"You are completly hopeless..." Dawn shock her head then took Ash by the wrist and leads him towards the door.
"H-hey!"
Nurse Joy watched with a small smile on her face. "I hope you enjoy the festival." She said as she waved them goodbye.
(I know it sounds a bit boring, but I promise you it will get better. I'm just starting and had to delete my other stories due to not having the inspiration. I have soo many ideas, that I couldn't put it all in...)
(How was this chapter? So far, our heroes have only heard about the festival. (Blossom Bloom City was the only name I could think of...) This festival is nothing like the other festivals in the movies, this one is more special. You will get to understand, when the time comes. Please comment if you like it so far ;)
