Chapter 2

Avery's POV

"You seem sad what's on your mind" Riley asked as we sat in the car, today we get to finally go home I've been away from my daughter and my mate for 4 years with one goal to unite all the pack alphas with one me so far we've got 3 different Alphas from 3 different packs to submit to me and claim me as their alpha but there's still 3 more packs out there. Riley and Roy have been feeling home sick and if I'm being honest I have to do we decided to go back today and put the plan on hold.

"It's nothing" I said

"Don't give me that shit I know you" she said I sighed

"It's just that 4 years is long for a baby" I said she sighed

"Your scared she won't remember you" Riley said I nodded 

"Well Avery she won't remember you" she said I looked over at her

"Wow really comforting" I said sarcastically

"What it's true she was only what 4 months old when we left and now she's 4 years old of course she's not going to remember you at first but she will know that your her mother Alexia would never let her forget that" she explained i smiled at the thought of seeing Alexia again just then Roy and Levi came walking out of the gas station. "We've got snacks" he said holding up the bags I chuckled and shook my head.

We were on the road for 3 day's straight till we finally made it to our pack. I got out of the car and so did everyone else it was so quiet that it worried me I gave Roy and Riley a look as if to say stay on guard in they immediately did so. I then slowly walked up to the porch and then reached out to grab the door knob slowly twisting it until it opened, The door was unlocked. I slowly creeped inside only to be met by complete darkness that was until suddenly the lights came on and people started popping up out of every corner and from behind the couches. " Welcome back Alpha Avery!!!" They all yelled I was surprised I turned around and looked at Riley and Roy who didn't look so surprised which told me that they knew about this.

A few minutes in as I was greeting and thanking everyone I looked up to see the most beautiful woman and the cutest little girl with rainbow colored eyes walking up to me it was like everything was moving in slow motion and the laughing and chattering became a distant noise in the background. I walked up to them meeting Alexia half immediately warping my arms around her breathing in that sweet scent of hers. "Mmhm I've missed you so much" I said as I squeezed her tight she hugged me back even tighter once we pulled away still in each other's arms I turned to look at the little on by her side hiding behind her leg I squatted down to her level.

"Hello there" I said holding out an hand she hesitated for a moment but then she put her tiny little hand in mine I smiled when she did so. That's when I picked her up and she laid her head on my chest an simple but adorable action. Just then Levi came walking over very slowly I could tell that he was scared.

"It's ok Levi you can come over" I said he got to my side and held my hand Alexia looked at me confused. "Alexia this is Levi, Levi this is Jenna and Alexia my mate and daughter" I said Alexia looked at me then back at Levi. "Hey Levi" Alexia said

"Hi" Levi said in a whisper tone I smiled at the two

After everyone went back to their homes and night time started to set in I decided to go get Levi all settled in, in his new room. "I'm sorry that it isn't decorated or anything" I said

"It's ok" he said sadly as he sat on the made up bed I sighed and sat next him "you know I lost my parents when I was really young to" I said he looked up at me for a split second before looking back down at his hands. "I heard My dad was like this really strong Alpha was yours?" I asked him trying to get him to open up a little. "I guess so" he said I sighed

"Well I just want you know that your not alone if you need anything there's a lot of great people here that will help you no matter what" I said patting him on the shoulder before getting up so that he could get under the covers once he laid down I went to the door. "Good night little Alpha" I said he gave me an half smile which quickly faded. "Goodnight" he said as I then shut off the lights and closed the door just enough but not too much leaving it slightly open. I then went to Jennas room where Alexia was putting her to sleep as well I stood at the door leaning up against the frame watching as she she put her down to sleep in her crib once she did so she then walked over to me with a smile. "She went down easy this time" She said said whispering

"Will she was just in the arms of the most beautiful woman in the world" I said she rolled her eyes and smiled. "Cute but I think it's because your back for the last few years it's been really hard to get her to sleep but today she just fell asleep no story time, no lullaby no car ride. None of that was needed" she explained I gazed over at the crib where Jenna was sound asleep in. Instantly a wave of guilt hit me. After a moment i then went to the bedroom to get ready for bed myself . I was in the shower washing up when I heard the door open just then Alexia opened the shower curtains fully naked she got inside and started hugging me from behind her hand slowly sliding up to my neck as she then began to kiss and suck on my neck I closed my eyes feeling a mixture of her soft lips and the warm water hitting me all at once."What are you doing" I asked chuckling at the ticklish feeling of her tongue "I've missed you" she whispered I smiled and turned around in her arms before pulling her in for a slow but passionate kiss. After our shower we got dressed in our night clothes before getting in bed and cuddling till we both fell asleep in each other's warm embrace
