Avery's POV
I was in the living room when I heard Riley call my name I went outside to where she was only to see the sun stone packs New Alpha, the shadow moon pack, the blue moon packs alpha Nate and the sliver stone pack all in one place.
"What's going on" I asked Riley.
"Alpha of the Moon stone pack we've come to ask for your help" the Alpha of the sun stone pack said stepping up he was a tall and Muscular guy a little taller then me he had Platinum blond hair and golden yellow eyes and he looked like something straight out of a Disney Princess movie with his perfect white teeth and sharp jawline he was the very definition of a Disney Prince.
We were all sitting around the table In something like a conference room in which I had set up four years ago. It was quiet for a moment till someone decided to speak. "You know what someone has to say something what are we going to do about the growing issue that is humans" Alpha of the shadow moon pack who's name I learned was Henry said.
"We should be waging a war right now" he said standing up and placing his hands on the table
"We don't start fights we finish them we are not going to wage a war" I said
"She's right that would only make us look worse to the humans" said the alpha of the sun stone pack who's name is Alonso
"Do you really think I give a fuck about what them dumbass humans think?! We should have wiped them off the face of the earth centuries ago rather then trying to live amongst them like some scared pussies" said Henry
"Not all of the human race is bad there's some people out there who just wants peace people who don't care if your a vampire, werewolf or witch" said Alonso
"Oh listen to this guy here. shut up you fucking hippie my wife is dead because of these dicks and what you think we should just sit here and wait for them to come pick us off, because it'll be fairly easy considering we're all in One Fucking Place!" He yelled around at the table
"Calm down take a breath" I said he stopped and looked at me frowning his eyebrows as he walked closer to me I stayed seated, "Calm down? Miss perfect pack here is telling me to calm down, go on tell us who you loss during the attack?" He said getting in my face I could feel my wolf getting pissed but I kept him at bay. And sat there just looking at Henry,
"We'll SAY SOMETHING!" he yelled about to grab my shirt but a hand stopped him I looked up to see Nate standing behind him
"I suggest you take a step back and go sit down before it gets real ugly in here" said Nate. there was a stand off for a moment An intense one at that, one that Nate was determined not to lose a few seconds in Henry decided to back down and retreated back to his seat where he sat with a pissed look on his face.
"Well now that, that is over I think we should put it to a vote," I said
"Great idea" Said Alonso
"All in favor of taking the fight to them?" I said Henry's hand was the only one that went up. "Ok all in favor of letting the fight come to us" I questioned putting my hand up Nate put his up and so did Alonso we all looked to the end of the table where the 15 year old alpha of the silver moon pack was the teen boy sighed and put up his hand which really pissed Henry off.
"What the fuck we're letting fetuses vote now" Henry said referring to the boy who's name was Kai,
"Yes Kai is an alpha now" I said
"Bullshit he's a child" said Henry
"Yet your the only one acting like such" said Alonso
"You wanna know why I'm acting like a child huh? Because they took my mate from Me!" He yelled at Alonso. "We understand and we're so so very sorry for your loss" I said he shook his head "No None of you understand each and every one of you still has your mates you get to go to bed with them next to you tonight, you know what I get I get to go home to two 17 year old girls who miss their mother and a 5 year old boy who's probably blaming himself right now for his mothers death I get to listen to them cry at night and watch them walk around looking like fucking zombies in the morning" he said which caused me to look down. Just then Kai stood up
"So what you want us to pity you" said Kai Henry looked him
"Excuse me" said Henry
"Your an grown ass adult you got to come into your alpha role you had time to prepare you had time with your parents you got to meet your mate and start a life with her and have 3 children with her and to top it all off it was completely your choice as for me I watched both my parents die, I got thrown into this alpha role and of course I have no idea what I'm doing I have to raise my little brother on my own and I'll probably never have a normal childhood ever again" he said as everyone looked at him
"So tell me who's got it worse here me or you" he said Henry went quiet not knowing what to say. That's when Kai grabbed his jacket and left leaving only just Me ,Henry, Nate and Alonso in the room.
"That's messed up" Said Nate "I know he was so quiet the whole time I forgot how much he lost" I said
"Don't feel bad he has great things ahead of him he just doesn't know it" said Alonso
"Oh goddess now he sees into the future. I'm out of here what a bunch of fucking jokes" said Henry getting up and leaving the room making sure to slam the door. "I really hate that guy" said Nate,
"I mean he did just loss his soulmate let's just overlook the fact that he's an asshole for now" I said Nate shrugged and Alonso agreed. After the meeting we all left the conference room I said my goodbyes to the alphas and they're Betas.
"Well it was very nice meeting you, although I do wish it could've been under better circumstances" said Alpha Alonso I smiled and shook his hand.
"Yeah it was nice meeting you to Alonso" I said he smiled and turned to leave. Leaving just me and Nate standing there beside me. Once they were gone Nate came to stand in front of me. "Well I guess I should get going as well" he said I nodded "yeah thanks for your help back there you didn't have to step in the way you did" I said he shook his head "Nonsense your family now your Lexie's sister in law which makes you my sister plus it was the least I could do after the way I acted four years ago by the way I'm sorry about that, I just have a bad track record with vampires" he said
"I know Aron told me everything" I said
"Good so you understand I never meant to treat you the way I did it was just that when I smelt that vampire scent on Jenna I freaked" he said
"I get it Nate you don't have to apologize it was years ago water under the bridge now I forgive you " I said he smiled "thanks hey one more thing before I go" he said handing me a little box with a bow on it "what's this" I asked "just open it" he said in which I did.
I opened the box only to see......
