Chapter 3

Avery's POV

The next day I was outside in the packs training area with Levi trying to teach him a few ways to defend himself but he just couldn't get it right as he tried for the fourth time I noticed him getting discouraged that's when I decided to step in.  "Stop" I simply said before walking over to him he stopped and looked at me sadly. "I can't do it" he said I sighed and placed both hands on his shoulders before looking him in the eyes. "Levi your Small and when people see small they see weak they see fragile they see all the things an alpha is never supposed to be, I can teach you how to defend yourself but I can't give you the strength, determination, courage, or honor you need to do so you have to figure that out on your own" I explained he nodded which made me smile sure Levi was small and no that strong but he's a smart kid I could tell that when I first saw him. I watched as he went back to the dummy but it was different this time, this time he didn't look like he wanted to give up anymore that's what told me that he's going to make one hell of an alpha one day.

Just then I heard a familiar voice and smelled an even more familiar scent I turned around to see the woman I loved most standing in front of me, "hello love" I said to Alexia she smiled and I kissed her on the cheek. "Hey what are you up to I missed you in bed this morning" she said I chuckled "yeah I woke up pretty early no one else was awake but Levi so I made him breakfast then decided to get an jump start on his training" I explained "don't you think it's a little too early to be starting him with this I mean from what you told me it sounds like he hasn't really had it easy, he's just a kid" she said I raised one eyebrow at her the woman I knew would have never said that in fact if it was up to her Jenna would have been training as an infant. "Oh my Alexia Brady Gray Moon have you gone soft on me?!" I questioned teasingly she rolled her eyes playfully at me. "Just because you were out on the road being some sort of alpha savior and I was home with a baby doesn't mean I've gone soft" she said I smirked "Prove it" I said she looked at me confused "huh?" She said but before answering her I turned and walked away going over to tell Levi that his Training was over for the day. "Hey Levi" I said he stopped and ran over to me "yeah?" He answered "how about you go inside and have a snack or watch some tv we'll pick this up tomorrow" I said he nodded and ran off making his way back inside the house, once he was gone I then walked back over to Alexia who was staring at me still confused. "Spar with me" I said to her she looked at me shocked as I grabbed two staffs and handed one to her. Before taking off my shirt leaving me in just my sports bra, I watched as her eyes roamed over my body before finally meeting my eyes, "come on softy" I said stretching out my arms she stood there for a moment looking at me before she got this look in her eyes this devilish but still playful look she then stepped up, "Ok you asked for it" she said before getting in her fighting stance and throwing the staff to the ground, I looked at her surprised, " I won't be needing that" she said with a smirk on her face I Swallowed hard I'd be lying if I said she didn't scare me a little with that smirk on her Face, I shrugged "ok come at me love" I said and before I knew it she charged taking the first swing, I blocked all of her attacks she wasn't able to land a hit and I could see that she was frustrated at that Which made me laugh.

I decided I'd tease her a bit more "looks like someone's a bit rusty" I said with a smirk she shook her head "I'm never rusty" she said before throwing a kick my way I brung up my staff intending to block it but it was so hard that it broke my staff clean in half I looked at the two broken pieces of wood in my hands then back up at her completely shocked, "told you I'm never rusty" she said I smiled and threw the sticks to the ground before getting in my fighting stance, I threw one punch which she blocked then another which was also blocked she then dropped down and swept my leg causing me to hit the mat I laid there on my back looking up in defeat just then Alexia appeared standing over me with an hand out offering to help me up while laughing. "I knew I'd win" she said with a smile, I propped myself up on my elbows to look at her "is that so" I said looking at her with a smirk she raised an eyebrow at me I then swept her leg doing the same thing she did to me causing her to fall on top of me, "I guess now you can say it was a tie" I said she rolled her eyes before gazing into mine just as we started to lean in for a kiss we heard an all so familiar little voice, "Mommy? Mama play?" Our adorable little wolf asked as she then climbed up on to Alexia's back adding more weight to the pile up on me. "Of course we'll play with you princess" I said wiggling my way from up underneath Alexia and sitting up. Jenna then climbed down off of Alexia's back, she was about to get up but Jenna demanded that she stay just the way she was only to put all her dolls on her back as if Alexia was the table, I chuckled at the Sight. "Your the table" she said to Alexia who frowned "why can't mommy be the table" she asked as I was laughing at her, "because she's the chair" she said I instantly stopped laughing "wait what-" I said and before I knew it Jenna had already plopped down one me causing Alexia to be the one who laughs this time I couldn't help but smile at the two.
