"Why aren't we allowed dogs in hogwarts?" Pansy huffed as she caught up with you in the halls
"Do I look like dumbledore?" You laughed before catching her glare
"You and me are seriously going to fight one day y/n/n"
"I can't wait" You smiled before increasing your pace to make it to potions which you were already late too
you got to the door and opened it slightly. Your nose wrinkled at the familiar scent but you couldn't place where You had smelt it before.
"Smells nice in here" you hummed as you snuck to your seat next to Draco and blaise before slughorn noticed.
"Oh really what does it smell like?" Blaise smirked before he got cut off by the professor
"Ah miss y/l/n nice of you to finally join us." He said taking a look in blaise and dracos cauldron
"An it seems you two have brewed the amortentia correctly, 10 points to slytherin"
realising what blaise was trying to do moments before you kicked his shin earning a groan from him "dumbass"
"Sorry I'm late sir I was walking a first year to her lesson" You lied with a sweet smile on your lips.
"No worries miss I/n how about you work with miss greengrass" the old man suggested
You nodded before making your way over to the blonde
"hey y/n/n" she smiled before turning her full attention to you "y/n who do you smell in the amortentia? I smelt liquorice snaps, strong cologne and fire but l'm not sure who it could be"
You smirked at the obliviousness of the blonde who had been pining over blaise since second year
You pulled the cauldron closer to you as you leant over to smell the bubbling pink liquid. "Um l've smelt this before but I'm not sure where, sandalwood, broom polish and cigarettes?"
You watched as a amusing smirk found it's way on daphnes lips before she composed herself
"Hm that's weird, let's make a bet.."
You turned to face her with your eyebrows raised
"and what bet would that be?"
"Let's see, whoever figures out who they smelt first gets ten galleons from the other person"
"How long do we have?" You asked
"Two days"
"Deal" you hummed before writing down those scents on a piece of parchment

As you were putting your things back into your bag a pair of arms wrapped around your waist lifting you in the air
"What the f- Theo?!" You calmed down at the sight of the brunette before seeing daphnes smirk as she rushed out of the room.
"THEODORE NOTT YOU ANNOYING GIT IM
BEING SERIOUS LET ME DOWN RIGHT NOW I NEED TO WIN MY BET"
You felt yourself being lowered as the boy just laughed
"And what bet would that be love?""I need to figure out who I smelt in the amortentia"
"Who did you smell?" He coughed
"Well I don't know smartass that's why l'm trying to figure it out"
"I can help you, but later, I have quidditch practise now" he frowned
"Oh my god theo your a genius, broom polish and quidditch, l'll be coming to the practise with you" you beamed

You and Pansy were sitting in the stands trying to list off who you smelt.
"What about pucey? I mean he looks like someone you would like" Pansy suggested
"No remember that party last year when he refused to come because there where people smoking."
We both sighed
You looked down into the quidditch pitch and saw theo who gave you a wave. You waved back and Pansy gasped
"OH MY GOODNESS"
"Pans what is it?" You asked
"N-nothing I have to go water my bed- mean make my bed goodluck"
'that was weird' you thought as she tripped over many stairs to go make her bed.

Theo sighed before stopping and grabbing your arm "come back to my dorm you can figure it out there"

"Ok so we know it's someone on the quidditch team but l've already taken Draco, crabbe, goyle and flint off the list so that leaves... montague,

"No fucking way am I losing ten galleons" you shot back turning to look at the boy who was laying on his bed
He groaned before fishing into his pocket for something.
You turned back to your notes and scribbled out

"This is hopeless" daphne sighed as she slumped into the great hall
"Are you girls still doing this?" Blaise asked
"Yes we are still doing this" daphne sighed
"I'm so close to figuring it out I swear" you groaned "I just can't figure out the sandal wood part
"I'm sure you'll find out soon, anyway I will be going to the common room now if you need me l'll be next to the fireplace" blaise announced as he left the table, daphne looked up at blaise's retreating figure before her cheeks turned pink "y/n I won" she whispered in your ear
You dropped your head to the table and groaned before handing her the galleons
"I'm going to Theo's dorm" you sighed as you left the table

"Come in" his voice shouted from inside
You opened to door and dropped onto his bed
"I'm ten galleons poorer now"
"She finally figured it out?" He laughed as he stroked your back
"Yeah I'm still confused about who I smelt though"
"Well l'm sure you will find out" he said before getting up
"What are you burning it smells nice?" You asked
