Walking into the school with my brothers and father, we were all in a tense silence. I don't think we all fully believed that we had found her after all this time. The school is run down, paint peeling in the hallways and obscene graffiti scratched into the dented lockers.
Making our way into what may be the cleanest room in the whole school- but not by much- father looks pointedly at the overweight middle aged woman smoking in the corner with her eyes closed. After a few moments she opens he eyes and startles as she sees us. Scooting into her office chair hurriedly and extinguishing the cigarette, she clears her throat. "what can I do for you, sir" she questions pointedly in a croaky voice, looking around at all of us with suspicion before focussing on father again.
"I am here to talk to Alexis Johnson" he responds, using and authoritative tone. Turns out Alexandra changed her name a few times, we don't know why yet. But we will.
She types her name into the ancient computer on her desk and we all wait in silence as she finds our baby sister. "right... okay then. I can call her to the office. You will have to talk to her with the head present. I will call her in and you can wait in his office" she motions towards the beige door in the corner. Following father into said room, we can hear the muffled static of the announcement that calls our sorellina to the office.
We can finally see her again.
Heh. Another filler chapter >:) yes, I may have been gone for months but I'm only going to post these bc... idk I don't have a good reason. I'll post some more soon... maybe :b
