Ian's P.O.V
"Homecoming is stupid! I can't believe your going Mari." Me and Mari have been best friends for years. After her parents died in a car accident, my parents took her in to raise her. So shes like my sister.
"Homecoming is not stupid!" Mari yelled. "I'm really excited and it would help if my 'brother' was excited for me too!" "I am Mari. I just think it's dumb to spend so much money on a stupid dance" Truth is. I would of loved to go to homecoming. But after me and Melanie broke up I haven't been .... How do I put it..... Active in the dating life. But honestly thinking about homecoming makes me all happy inside. Just the thought of going out to buy the perfect suit and walk into the dance with a beautiful girl on my arm. It could of been a perfect night.
My thoughts were interrupted by my phone going off. "Who texted?" Mari asked. "Anthony" I said looking at my phone. Anthony is one of my closest friends. Yeah we only met our sophomore year (we're juniors now) but we kept growing closer and closer. It's like we've known each other for years.
From Anthony:
"Hey Ian! Me and the guys were talking. We wanna go to the homecoming game on Friday. Are you and Mari in? :)""He wants to know if we wanna go to the homecoming game on Friday." "Can I bring John?" John was a senior and Mari's date to homecoming. "I don't see why not." "Then I'm in!"
To Anthony:
"Fuck yeah we're in!"I always loved going somewhere with my friends. Everyone was hilarious so you could never be in a bad mood around them. I was looking forward to the game. Little did I know, that night was gonna change me forever.
