Chapter 4: A Date

Cale was sitting on Sheritt-nim's couch, him and the dragon lord was facing each other while the flower vase is on the top of the table between them.

"... Uh, Sheritt-nim-" Cale wasn't done talking when the dragon lord cut him off.

"I think you should figure it out yourself, Cale." Sheritt-nim said while smiling softly at him. Cale was speechless, when Cale was acting to open his mouth to speak when Sheritt-nim hurriedly speak.

"I think you should leave now." Cale was even more speechless and the dragon lord was still smiling softly.

"Uh-okay..." Cale said then left the black castle. The three kids decided to stay with Sheritt-nim so Cale is the only one coming back in the Underground Villa.

Beacrox who saw Cale entered his kitchen with messy hair blushed, ehem, Beacrox asked Cale. "What are you doing here?" Cale looked at him with no emotions on his face.

"I'm bored. Sigh" Cale suddenly said then sighed. Beacrox didn't know what's gotten into his mind when said these words, "Do you want take a walk with me?"

Cale was shocked at first but then his face lit up and he smiled brightly causing Beacrox to cover his eyes with his hand. "Too bright!" Badump. Badump.

Beacrox collected himself, "Brush your hair first." He said then turned away from Cale and focused his attention on cleaning the kitchen knives.

Cale who saw Beacrox cleaning his knives with a small smile on his lips shivered. He quickly fled away from the kitchen to his room and sat in front of his vanity table. He brushed his hair and styles his hair. He change his clothes as well, of course he chooses the best simple clothes he have.

Cale checked himself in front of the mirror and nodded in satisfaction. He smiled then paused, why is he spending his effort and time to look decent for this? It's just a walk with Beacrox. It's not like he'll go for a date with Beacrox. Cale paused and his cheeks went pink, A date... Date. Cale shakes his head and didn't spend energy thinking too much and just shrugged.

Cale is about to go downstair when he remembers the red jade necklace inside his cabinet. He decided to wear it since he will go for a walk with Beacrox and that red jade necklace is also Beacrox's gift.

Cale looked at himself in the mirror and finally heeded downstair.

Cale saw Beacrox waiting at the end of the stairs and he hurried walking, when Beacrox saw Cale hurriedly walking down the stairs he worriedly yelled a warning to Cale.

"Be careful Cale, you'll fall!" Just as Beacrox said those words, Cale who is almost at the end of the stairs tripped and fall. Fortunately before Cale kissed the floor, Beacrox reacted fast and catches Cale.

Cale with closed eyes felt something hot hit his face. He slowly open his eyes then a beautiful brown eye welcome him. His face and his face were facing closely making Cale blush.

"Young master why are you running on the stairs? You could have fall and kissed the floor if I wasn't able to catch you. So clumsy." Beacrox scolded Cale and muttered something in his breath. His eyes fall on Cale's neck and his breath hitched. He's wearing the necklace I gifted to him also.

"I saw you waiting so I walked faster so that you would not have to wait longer, how would I know that I would tripped and be catched by you." Cale stubbornly answered Beacrox.

Cale then tried to free himself from Beacrox arms but find that he couldn't because of the way Beacrox is holding his waist. Cale finds himself in an akward position with Beacrox.

"Let me go," Cale announced to Beacrox. Beacrox subconsciously let go of Cale's waist and let out a fake cough, he fixed his clothes and straighten his posture.

When Beacrox let go of his waist Cale also fixed his clothes and his hair. Thinking about Beacrox hands on his waist and their face close, Cale blushed and couldn't bring himself to look up and meet his eyes with Beacrox. Their's a silence between them and he decided to break it but before he could open his mouth he heard Beacrox said, "Let's go."

Cale nodded and the made their way out.

The buzzling sounds people laughing and children running around the streets, and vendors telling people to buy their products entered into Cale's auditory canal then to his eardrum. Yeah, why are we here? I thought were just going for a walk, like walking around the garden, I didn't think that we'd end up here.

Not that I hated it, rather it's good because it will be akward and boring if we'll just walk around the garden. It's been a long time since I go out and have fun, I'm always at home sleeping.

Cale looked around and smiled.

Beacrox didn't looked around and just stared at Cale's beauty all the time. Cale's smile widen and Beacrox heart thumped harder. Cale looked at Beacrox and said something but he didn't heard it because he was too focused on Cale's smile that he didn't even realize that he was being dragged by Cale to the food stall.

"Beacrox I want to eat this and that and that also." Cale ordered like a spoiled brat.

Beacrox blinked and he looked at the foods that Cale is pointing. It was a candy that all the kids loved to whine on their parents for. The other two are ice fruit and ice fruit salad. The foods that all the kids also loved.

Beacrox heart ache when he realized that all the food that Cale wanted to eat are the food that he didn't get to eat when he was still a kid because he matured early because of his mother's death.

Beacrox looked at Cale's smile face again and smiled softly. "Sure,"

"Can I get these?" Beacrox said to that stall vendor and the vendor smiled happily.

"Yes no problem, I'll packed them immediately." Said the vendor and handed to them the food, Beacrox the paid the vendor. Beacrox paid 3 silver for them and then give the foods to Cale.

Cale happily licked the sugar candy. His little pink tongue out licking the sugar candy like a kitty. Beacrox blushed and looked away, he covered his face with his left hand and then glared at the sugar candy in Cale's hand. Damn it he's jealous of that damn candy and almost whished that he's the one that Cale is lick—  ahem...

Cale looked at him and smiled innocently.

"You want one?" Cale blinked and offered him the sugar candy that he's eating.

Beacrox quickly denies it and Cale go back to happily licking his sugar candy. Beacrox sighed bitterly and just looked at Cale. As long as he's happy.
