Remembering Us [Maze Runner - Minho]

V // Fire.

Jessica sighed, as she wiped the sweat that was beading off her newly tanned face. The weather became getting hotter and hotter in the past week, and they even had to take care of some smoking buildings, from the material getting to hot. Jessica's face started becoming sun burnt everyday, and Minho had to be the one to listen to her whining.

Everyone in the glade now knew about Newt and Jessica being siblings, and everyone was still trying to figure out what Jessica and Minho were, even Jessica was. She spent a lot of time with him, just talking and enjoying eachother company, at least when Minho wasn't spending his long days in the maze, scouting everyting out, hoping they could find a way out of the maze, even though everyone gave up on believing in it.

Jessica spent her days in the gardens, along side her bother, Newt, and the keeper of the Track-hoes, Zart. Eventhough Jessica never really got a chance to fully accept the job as her own, everyone just considered her apart of the track-hoes. She wasn't complaining though, she enjoyed the company from her brother, and her new friend Zart. They all got together a lot, Minho was almost jelous once.

Newt was very protective of Jessica, still hoping that they could regain all of the memories they once had as children. So he acted as the big tough brother, but he was really kid-hearted and soft on the inside. He knew all of Jessica's feelings towards Minho, and he was very nice and understanding of them.

The smell of smoke illuminated the glade and Jessica dropped what she was doing and ran towards the screams. Orange flames erupted in the forest, A forest fire. Jessica ran into the flames, as she heard Chuck calling for help. Her coughing was loud and she was running out of breath as thick dark grey fog covered her compleatly.

"Chuck?!" Jessica called through the thick fog. Her eyes burned as she tried to open them. She mumbled her coughs with her long sleve as she walked through flames, carefully trying not to get hit by the flames.

"Jessica! I'm over here!" Chuck called through the flames and Jessica picked up her pace, running as fast as she could towards the sound. Chuck's body appeared through the fog and Jessica hugged the small boy close to her in happiness,

"Chuck! Oh my god, I'm so glad you're ok!" She yelled over the screams of the fire and cracking sounds of burning trees. Chuck's expression was scared and almost unreadable, but he seemed so deathly afraid and Jessica was almost as scared as he was. The sound of breaking trees made Jessica direct her attention upwards, as a long burning part of a tree hurdled down towards them, "Chuck!!" Jessica screamed loudly, pushing him back onto the path that was safe to get back to the glade as Jessica dove the other way, towards the thicker parts of the flames.

"Jessica!" Chuck's voice was heard slightly over all of the blurred sound that Jessica could hear. Pain spred through her body in increasing time and Jessica seemed numb, but pain was making her whole body tremble and cower in fear. Chuck's voice was no longer visable as Jessica struggled just to- stand on her two feet. Her legs felt like jello below her as she whipped her head around in all directions, looking for a way out. Jessica's head pounded against her skull as she brought her trembling hand to her head as she tried to regain her vison proberly. The sound around her was screeching at high volume, like an explosion just went off. A small opening through the fire opened swiftly as Jessica limped as fast as she could before diving through the opening of the flames as it lasted almost a second before she landed on her left arm akwardly. Jessica screamed out in pain, but her throat made it sound muffled and cackled as pain spred through her arm like a wild fire.

"God help me!!" Jessica screamed as loud as she could as she flailded around violently, trying to shake the terrible feeling throughout her body. The pain was so unbearable for her as she quickly stood up, putting all her pressure on her right arm as she hoisted herself up, looking around in disarray. Flames grew closer and closer and her face burned from all of the contact.

Jessica fell to her knees in defeat as she screamed out with one last hope of anyone hearing her. Her whole body numbed as she fell to the forest floor, ignoring all pain going through her small body at the moment. Tears fell down her face rapidly, and she couldn't shake the terrible feeling, This was how she was going to die... She thought as she stared up at the sky, everything going quiet for a moment as dark spots engolfed her vision completly.

"She's not waking up..." A deep voice spoke as he clutched her body tightly, tears threatening to spill from his eyes, "Jess, please wake up, I can't lose you.."

 The girl's body didn't respond as another boy showed up next to the other one as they raced away to get the girl to safety,

"Minho what the hell happened to my sister!" Newt's stern voice screamed at the other boy. The other boy didn't respond as salty tears ran down his face in agony, like the pain this girl was feeling was killing him on the inside out.

 They reached a small wooden building as the boy lay her down on a thin mattress, "Clint!" He called through the building as another boy appeared around the corner, rushing to the girl's side, helping her with all of the medical backround he had. Newt excused him and the other boy out of the small wooden building as the boy worked on the fragile girl.

 The boy's tears stopped, but his eyes were red a puffy, to show signs he had been crying, "Newt there was a fire... She went in to go save Chuck... And..." He barley choked out, holding back tears threatening to spill once again,

 "It's ok Minho, my sister wouldn't want you to be beating yourself up over this, just go in there and beby her side until she wakes up, please.." Newt said, pleading the other boy to do the things he wasn't able to do. The boy nodded rushing back in the door to tend to the girl.

Jessica gasped and bolted upwards, searching for her breath. Clint looked at her and smiled, "About time you woke up.." Jessica smiled in return. Clint stood up straight and walked out the door, he spoke that he was going to get Newt, and Jessica nodded, only excited to see her brother. Her head hurt, but she could get over it. Everything else was fine, she fiddled with her thumbs awaiting for her brother. Moment later Newt burst through the door, and ran over to Jessica, bear hugging her very, very tightly. Jessica chuckled as he released her,

"How long have I been out?" Jessica asked, adjusting herself in the bed. Newt sighed, shaking his head,

"Two weeks.." Jessica cringed and shook her head,

"Glad I'm back..." Jessica said before the door opened, a dark haired boy appeared at the door catching his breath,

"Newt I heard what happen- Oh my god Jess!" He exlaimed before running over to her, hugging her with glee. Jessica knitted her eyebrows together in confusion at the boy hugging her as he let go. As he let go, he looked at her, confusion also visable in his eyes, "Jess?"

Everyone in the room was also confused, but not as confused as Jessica as she looked at Newt, Clint, then back up at the boy with a pained expression on his face before looking at him with pure confusion,

"I'm sorry... Who are you?"

Don't worry I won't give you as long as a wait, I just started a new book on the 100 on my @RileyTheThird account. But I am more focused on this now, and I hope you guys don't hate me for the wait...
