Remembering Us [Maze Runner - Minho]

VI // Tears

"Jess are you sure you don't know who Minho is?" Newt asked his sister again as she slowly walked with him back to her room. Jessica grumbled, annoyed why everyone was asking her the same question so many times a day.

"No Newt I have no idea who he is, now can you please just go away and let me sleep!" Jessica raised her voice and Newt put his hands in the air and laughed before walking away and Jessica closed the door and tried to get some sleep. The bed at the honest and was really uncomfortable and Jessica wasn't getting enough sleep because everyone kept talking about this Minho person that apparently she knew very well, but ever since the fire she hasn't remembered anything about him, it was like someone was in her brain and removed everything that had to do with him out of her head. I mean, when she looked at him when he wasn't locked up in his room, his face was kinda familiar but Jessica but she never fully knew who he was at all. It was frustrating and stressful for her, and the added load of everyone trying to talk to her about him was just making her so angry and upset all the time she just wanted to punch something.

Just on that note, a loud crash sounded that made the wall shake behind Jessica's head and she bolted upright as she heard cussing in the other room. She slowly stood up and limped her way to the room next to hers and slowly creaked the door open. The boy named Minho was sitting on his bed facing the floor and he was clutching a bloody hand and Jessica knew he had just punched the wall. Minho lunged at her quickly as the floor beneath Jessica creaked loudly, exposing that she was here. Jessica screamed softly as he pinned her up against the wall and he breathed heavily. He didn't look up and her just yet as his arm was draped across her neck that kept her pinned to the wall. When he looked up at her with his dark eyes, he immediately let her go and she slumped against the wall.

"Shuck Jess I'm so sorry.." Minho said with a dry voice that showed he was crying moments ago.

"Don't be sorry, I probably deserved it," Jessica said softly as she ducked her head in shame. Minho looked up at her with concern in his face,

"Why would you ever think that?" Jessica simply shrugged as he looked at her,

"Because I can't remember you and I feel like I am supposed to and its stressing me out and everyone looks at me like I'm sick and they always talk about you thinking I would remember but I just can't! I know this has gotta be killing you more than me and I feel weak and worthless," Jessica screamed and slid down the wall and brought her knees to her chest. The thing is, she wasn't even yelling at Minho, she was yelling at herself. Minho slid down the wall and sat next to her.

"Jess, never feel that way. Yeah you can't remember, but it's not your fault. And yeah I'm upset that you can't remember me but I'm just being selfish and I can't see how hard this is for you and I'm just looking for my own benefit." Jessica sobbed loudly and Minho immediately hugged her tight as she cried out for her memory, but blurred faces was all that came out.

"I'm so- sorry Minho..." Jessica choked out and she slowly stopped crying and Minho let her go and they sat next to each other, leaning on the wall.

"Don't be okay? We'll get through this together." Jessica smiled and her cheeks turned red as he took his hand in hers and rubbed circles in her palm. "Even if you can't remember our old memories, we can create new ones. Together."

Jessica's smiled grew wider and she nodded as she laced her fingers with his and rested her head on his shoulder and sighed loudly through the dimly-lit room, "So Minho, Why don't you fill me in on some of those old memories, and I'll see if I can remember something,"

Minho smiled wide as he opened his mouth and started his long stories about him and his first love.

A/N: I AM SO SHUCKING SORRY FOR THE WAIT. I have been SOOO busy lately and I haven't been able to write at all. AGAIN I am sorry it's short and I am trying as hard as I can to write when I can, because here it is currently 2:30 am and I had to finish something for you guys to read.
