"OH MY GOD, RAN STOP NARRATING, DAMMIT!"
"Temper, temper, Toast." Ran spoke as he read the stats of the current timeline.
He and toast were doing their job of checking Alternate Universes.
"UGH" Toast groaned. "Why are we even doing this?! ISNT THIS THAT DAMN SQUIDS JOB?!" Toast yelled as their tail lashed.
"Well, my friend, yesn't!"
"Wh-"
"Ink's job is to watch over AUs, yes, but he is also the protecter, and he has been very busy PROTECTING them as well. Timelines are getting destroyed every second. It's basically Error's fault." Ran spoke as he closed the code.
"Speaking of timelines and Aus, why have so many of them been glitched out? Most of it isn't Error's fault. I can tell because the glitching out doesn't seem like his power and.. there weren't any strings.." Toast mewed quietly.
Ran sighed. "XGaster being close to being in his physical form again is somehow messing with the FUN values in alternate timelines. It's overwhelming them and causing them to..y'know what."
Toast went quiet for a few minutes after that. Ran sighed again as he has said something dumb again.
They had a few bad(or as Fresh described them, since he was there, ''unrad'') encounters with the anomaly, as Toast liked to call him. XGaster practically destroyed Toast's universe, leaving them alone without their friends that got obliterated with the universe itself.
Ran just wished all of this would stop. Timelines being broken, obliterated, the XEvent, all of it.
Toast saw how stressed Ran was getting, and finally broke the silence.
"You need to stop looking into the future, y'know, Ran? It's putting to much stress on you, you're going to end up insane if you keep doing this.."
"Can't help it" Ran muttered. "Reaper told me to look into the future almost every week to keep him updated. He can't do it himself because he has to do his job, which is reaping souls."
"What does he want to be updated on?" Toast asked, their tail resting in their lap.
"The XEvent."
