Just saying, player's gonna be referred to as a he/they. So if you see those switch, that's why.

__________

You sighed, finally managing to move all of your bags. For two weeks, you're staying with your aunt in this odd place. You know absolutely nothing about this place, hell, you weren't even sure if this place was on a MAP. You shrug it off, maybe it's just a suburban town that's highly underrated and everything will be decently normal here. No annoying bullies, no bossing around on taking out the trash, no getting yelled at by your cat.. although the last one's impossible. Your cat [Insert cat name that will be be labelled Cat to make the saying shorter] was brought along because your parents weren't bothered to deal with it. They said your bond with [Cat] was extrodinary, and you should DEFINITELY take it along.

 Definitely.

Your aunt came outside with a smile. "Alright kiddo! Just move these upstairs to your room, and  you can unpack it later. For now, you should rest up, it's getting late." You just did a thumbs up, slugging yourself upstairs and opening the door, coming into the mess of two bags and a bunch of cat supplies on the floor. Your aunt said she'd handle all that beforehand, so your final movement of the night was to toss all of your cat supplies out of your room before flopping down and getting cozy into your bed. Finally, rest.

You close your eyes, and then drift off to bed.

You wake up in the morning feeling like P... woops, I mean, you feel groggy as hell. You stumble up, rubbing your eyes and stretching. Today's the official first day of you staying here. Stepping downstairs is your aunt, who is feeding [Cat] and is making you breakfast at the same time. You ate some lovely eggs and bacon and thanked your Aunt, then proceeded to head outside. The outside... was a little.. empty. Somewhat empty, at best. There were some people outside, and some dude with a paper hat. Must be nice to have that for protection from this amount of sun. You covered your eyes, nearly being blinded by this. Walking over to the side walk, you decided maybe a stroll might help with things.

...

It's been over 30 minutes and you're bored. Why'd you even come outside if it's this... quiet? This doesn't even sit right with you. You might be right on the hunch of this being a very, VERY quiet suburban area. It's not too shabby, but it's so... BORING. You groaned, this is sorta what you were expecting though. Whatever, at least you have a gaming console at home to return to. You turned around and began making your way back home.

Suddenly, you heard something behind you.

It almost sounded like.. a skateboard?

You turned around to see some kid skating around the neighborhood. They had a cap turned backwards, with a blue shirt and green pants. They flipped their board to face the other direction, and began heading left.

Now where was this kid when you were walking around? He looks kinda..

..Wait. No, no. You guys haven't even talked yet, you can't just go there yet.

There was a bench nearby, so maybe you could see how this goes? You sat down and watched them skate for a little bit. He'd slip by a corner and then loop back around shortly after. They weren't that bad at skating, surprisingly. It was a little entertaining for you if anything. After a few, they skid by the bench near you, and suddenly made direct eye contact. It was inevitable that they'd notice. They U-turned and slid on their skateboard right infront of you. They then hopped off, now officially acknowledging your existence.

"I haven't seen you around here before." They said, examining you slowly. "Uh, yeah, I'm here with my aunt for some weeks." You said, awkwardly smiling at the person. They smiled back at you immediately and sat down beside you. "So, what's your name?"

 "(Y/N). What's yours?"

The person smiled even more. "My name's Player! Nice to meetcha!" They said, holding out a hand for you to shake.

Player... weird name. You still took his hand and shook it. Afterwards, you two stood there in silence for a bit, before one of you could speak.

"So, you said you were here with your aunt?"

You nodded as a reply. "Yeah, until my parents come back from Miami."

"Woah! Miami?" Player's non-existent ears seemed to perk up. "What do your parents do?"

"Uh.. well, they sell houses, which, I guess pays a lot. I'd never really know, since I barely talk to them about it." You shrugged. You never really saw your parents, but you were used to it.

"Man, that sounds cool! I don't really talk to my dad though, haha, we don't really see eye to eye." Player said. You could've swore they said something else under their breath, but you couldn't catch it. You tilted your head as they stood there silently for a moment. "But hey! Maybe we shouldn't get into that right now. That'd be too depressing and mopey and we should have a good first talk."

"Agreed. We shouldn't talk about parent problems. Those are sucky." Player chuckled a little. "Exactly."

The two of you talked a little more before you heard a familiar voice call you.

"(Y/N)! (Y/N), it's time to come back in for lunch!" You didn't even notice the time until you got called back in. "Shoot! I better get going."

"I'll be out here if you wanna keep talking later." Player said with a smile. "You have a nice lunch!" He then waved goodbye at you. "See you, Player!" You waved back, then began heading over to your aunt.

You were happy they'd still be around by the time you finished up lunch.

You'd like to see them again.
